my fuek pump went out while on the free way. luckly i was able to get back to my car before any wreckers got there and tried to make a quick buck off my butt. we completely ended up taking my whole ignition system apart, put it back togeather, then i tested my fuel pump, and there layed the answer! ha! once again i have out smarted the old subie! but thats not the worst part, i accideltly crossed spark plug wires 3 and 4. and took it out for a drive and thought there was too much fuel in the carb, so i looked at the manual and found out i crossed them. phew, feels good to be drivin the old subie again. on a side note. if i have a high pressure fuel pump(4 to 7 psi) do i really needf that much? or should i go with lower psi pump, like the 2.5 to 5?

i thought about it and i think this is supposed to go in this forum instead of historic because its "retrofitting" a subaru with newer parts. but what is the lug pattern for my car? i found a website that makes adapters for all different types of cars and im interested. if any one could let me know i would greatly appreciate it. -zack

sweet. just got back with about 6 cans of gray primer, and about 5 cans of gloss white and 1500 grit sand paper. oh and a wire wheel brush to rough up the rest of the rust and paint . cant wait to get it done! how long did it take you to get everything done? and did you use masking tape to cover all the chrome trim pieces?
