on my firebird i would just get taylor spiro pro wire by the foot which is about a $1.00 and put the ends on my self. the taylors had real low resistance alot better than the oem fibrglass shielded wires.i dont know if you could do the same thing with the subaru wires since they look to be about 5mm and taylors are 7 or 8 mm.

I have tried both ecu s and the same thing happens with both. The light on the test light is dim while cranking over.I am starting to think maybe the ecu s are not grounding out.My electric door locks are now working and were not before the car broke down.also the ignitor and injectors are not getting a signal from the ecu.I can also hear the relay clicking when i put the test light in the back of the violet wire at the ecu.

My check engine light on the 96 2.5 outback wont come on when i try starting the car.I have changed ecu s and the light bulb behind the dash and still nothing. The bulb was burned out before i replaced it.The ecu is out of a 95 outback with a 2.2 in it and it was wrecked so im pretty sure it was working.I need to get this car going and ive changed alot of parts ecu, cps, ignitor, belt ,and relays, about the only parts that havent been changed are coil and crank angle sensor.

I put the timing belt on my 96 2.5 motor with everything lined up rite then turn the motor with a socket one full turn and the timing marks are way off.I have done this 3 times and everytime its the same thing, even a friend tried and samething happened when he did it.I have replaced the timing belt before on this motor and it worked. The belt i have is a goodyear belt.Does anyone have any ides why the timing marks dont stay aligned?
