  1. I say chains on all four tires would be optimal. If you hit a spot that has traction with front chains only, say goodbye to the ol' center diff.
  2. Or perhaps an involuntary and long-lasting concentric contraction of the gastrocnemius/soleus complex (mostly soleus, since the leg is usually bent while in the driver's seat), resulting in a rapid rise in engine revolutions and vehicle velocity due to the extreme plantar flexion at the ankle joint... Then again, it could be plantar fasciitis...does she have a burning/stabbing pain across the bottom of her right foot?
  3. Ah, but how about this... Do you think the hill holder will reduce the life of the clutch?
  4. Yeah...I've owned three with blue interiors...I am starting to warm up to it.
  5. I say "bad idea". You lose too much reliability just to smoke the boggers a couple times.
  6. YES! It has already reached Portland! Everyone keep doing it!
  7. Oh man! I have a Subaru sign/wave! I've been doing it for months now and it never seems to catch on (well, I never get one back...). It's the "solid" fist! You know, an "s" in American Sign Language! I means "solid" and "Subaru"...at the same time. It looks like this... You just put it up in the air when you see a Sube. Well, with all the Subes in my area, I've kind of narrowed it to Subes of the same body style as whatever I'm driving (if I'm in the EA81, I wave at EA81s, etc.). I think everyone should do it! Just raise your right hand and make a fist whenever you pass another Subaru.
  8. Combined Subaru mileage of the Loyale, Justy and two GLs = Drumroll... 739k Subaru miles!
  9. Yup...just a break. Once you realize that sleeping in a Subaru wagon is way cooler than in a truck bed, you'll be back for more. Happy trails!
  10. 200SX were produced long before '95. In the 80s they were V6 cars...looked something like this. The ones you saw/read about ('95+) were essentially 2-door Sentras.
