  1. Okay...I chopped the quote a little (didn't add anything)...but that's how I think this should read.
  2. One of my favorite videos... Also, new WRX = LSD rear...that's something to think about. But I agree on the ground clearance aspect of it. If you "blast" through snowbanks in a WRX, your pretty plastic front lip is going bye-bye, whereas in the OBW, you've got more height between the ground and anything damage-able. OBW (depending on year) = 7.3"+ ground clearance WRX = 6.1" clearance /\ I believe those numbers are at the rear diff? /\
  3. I wonder if he's still running the stock block...?
  4. I've been looking for that for EVER! Thank you so much!
  5. Nice buggy! Are you running the ol' 22RE in that thing? (Sorry for the hijack)
  6. You see, I'm doingsome shopping right now...I might look for a wrecked car to fix up and save a bunch of dough. Got any suggestions?
  7. At least everything...possibly more. Find a shop to do it.
  8. Perhaps you should swap in an EJ20H...someone here on the board did that. (Suberdave, I believe)
  9. I'm somewhat surprised about that...well, maybe not if you think of horsepower-to-weight ratio. But I think it would be close. (Ha. You're from Latrobe. Sweet. You know who else is from Latrobe, PA? The coolest dude that ever lived...Mr. Rogers. Bet you didn't know that. Yup, Fred Rogers is from your town.)
  10. OOOOOOOH! The inside of the car! I guess I didn't read the post correctly the first time. It's because your car is a wagon. Wagons take longer to warm up (and keep warm) than sedans, hatchbacks, etc. I reckon it's because there are no heater vents in the back and the cold air back there just stays cold for a while...but I could be wrong...
  11. So if soobmater goes missing, no worries, everyone. I just had to have him whacked to get at this car.
  12. Strange...the EJ22 has an even BIGGER volume of coolant than the vehicles already mentioned. Perhaps more friction occurs, producing more heat?
  13. Okay. I'll take your word for it. Good to know...
  14. EZ30R has 'em...it's EJ-based... (Okay, that was out on a limb)
