Nice...it would look better with a little more lift and 29s. Or, if I were Jay Leno or something...I'd roll that with 37s.

Yup...it is...and our junkyards are awesome, too! HAAAAA! -
7-Mile is pretty sweet. I've only done it on a motorcycle, though...need to try it in a Sube.

That's it. I'm keeping my wagon. I was going to sell my '81, but I can't now. That just looks too dang fun. Who needs only "nice" cars. Thank you for the inspiration. Maybe I should keep the hatch, too...

Trying to find pics of the craziest lifted 95-99 legacys
thatswhatshesaid replied to weddes05's topic in Off Road
Here's a little. \/ It's a 2000-2004, but it gives you an idea. Another one. And WRX2FFU has a lifted Legacy. Check that out. I believe another member, Subafreak, was working on a pretty big lift on a Gen 1 Legacy. Unfortunately, the '95-'99s are the most neglected as far as lifting goes (except for using Outback struts/springs). Try checking out the lifted Gen 1 Legacys for 'guidelines'. -

The car you are thinking of is an earlier Legacy ('90-94). I'll look for it. Hang on. -
Apparently...it seems as if... 'Tis the season to revive old threads!

Dang...it's been a while since the original, but whatever! There is a huge aftermarket for these engines. I'd say do this: - eBay headers - Lightened flywheel - Intake system (more air = more powaaaa.) - Cam it. Start with that. Those are the main things for n/a power. Past that, you get into deep $ to the point where a turbo setup would yield MUCH better results (for instance, the EJ22 = 135 hp, EJ22T = 165 hp or somewhere thereabouts).

Okay, you got me there. By the way, what IS their policy on whole-car extraction? (Sorry for the hijack...think of it as a free bump to the top)

AAH, that is a story I know all too well... When the parents' 3/4-ton Cummins and the Sentra couldn't budge... I crawled into the Sube and fired her up. And after she blasted through the drift in front of her, I plowed around the woods like it was goin' out of style. Just so no one can argue with the awesome-ness of my Subaru.
