Just as the title says...are there any bumper-mount or hood-mount light pods/bars that y'all know of for the '00-'04 Legacy/Outback body style? I can find millions for Imprezas, but how about rally-style light kits for Outbacks? Also, my foglights are toast. Are there any powerful foglight conversions or upgraded lights? Again, Impreza kits are everywhere, but the Outback stuff is difficult to find.

Nice! I need to get me a solid-axle Toyota. The Jeeps just ain't cuttin' it. Do you run lockers in that thing? (I wonder because I might be getting a Toyota, and I'm wondering which lockers folks like best in those.)

Other cars/Vehicles we own
thatswhatshesaid replied to DJtheGOD's topic in Non Soob Cars and Bikes Discussion
Current rigs: - '82 GL wagon (Ghetto Wagon) - '93 Loyale wagon (Party Wagon) - '00 Outback (Classy Wagon) - '84 Jeep CJ-7...it's getting built - '78 Jeep J-10 pickup...37" tires, lockers, etc. - Yamaha YZ-250 - Specialized Big Hit (7.5" rear suspension, 8" hydraulic disc brakes, etc. - cost more than all my older Subes combined) - Specialized BMX bike ($400 later, I have a bike I don't ever ride) Of the past: - '88 Justy - '81 GL hatch -
I'm a Jeeper. I love them. I am not ashamed of it. My friends have Jeeps, too. (A CJ-5, CJ-6 and a J-10.) I have an '84 CJ-7 (current project...getting 42s and a big block) and a '78 J-10. Until the CJ is done, I am running my '78 J-10. It's a pretty capable machine. It's got SOA with lift springs, a shackle flip, front/rear Detroit lockers, high-steer with 1.5" tie rod, 37" Parnelli Jones rubber, etc... I love wheeling my Subaru, but for the thick mud and extreme articulation, I have to break out the Jeeps. My truck is a monster in the mud. The Sube is the logging road/gravel rally master, though. I can't really drift corners in the truck...that would end up in serious injury, or even death.

Crazy D: (jumps in car with grin across face) Hey, man, maybe we shouldn't do this, dude... Imbecile friend: Nah, bro, it's cool. Let's do it. I'm a pro. Crazy D: (buckles seat belt) No, way. That's not safe. We should do something else. You'll wreck your car. This is a bad idea. Imbecile friend: (revving engine) I'm doin' it, brah. This jump is totally phat. Crazy D: (still in car with seat belt buckled) Hmm...okay! Is that kind of how the story went? Your attempts to stop the insanity were thwarted by his...striking good looks? His obvious superior intellect and reasoning ability? The fact that you love him? What would make you STAY in the car and be involved in this kind of lunacy and then have the gall to say you "tried to talk him out of it" and say it's not in any way your fault? Nice try...I don't buy it for a second.

HOly crazy russian offroading... things...
thatswhatshesaid replied to Andyjo's topic in Vehicle Videos Online
That's the most pathetic photo-chop I've ever seen. But it would be kind of cool to cruise around in something like that. -
Nice. You're a lunatic (and I like it).

Hmm...what you need is an '82 wagon that runs well and would make a perfect parts car you can drive home! (I know a guy who knows a guy who owns said wagon...) How's my old car doing overall? I feel bad that it turned out to be a semi-lemon. Anything I can do to help? Hope you get her going. And lifted. - Tyler

I'm taking out the old, busted radiator from my '93 Loyale tomorrow and replacing it with a new one. I've never done it before. Can you guys tell me what tools I will need and what the most efficient way of removing the old and dropping in the new one is? What bolts do I need to take out? Which ones don't need to be removed? The car is not here, it's in the parking lot of a hotel where the radiator blew, so I can't see it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank, y'all, - Tyler

Whose sweet EA81 sedan in Spokane?
thatswhatshesaid replied to thatswhatshesaid's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That was the cleanest EA81 sedan I've ever seen. I was shocked and amazed...I hope the owner is a board member... -
I spotted a righteous EA81 sedan today on Bigelow Gulch, heading west at Argonne. It was white with two blue racing stripes and I'm pretty sure it had shaved door handles. The thing was CLEAN! (Also...it had tinted windows) Who the heck owns that? Also, I saw a cool lifted EA82 wagon (silver) with 14" Pugs outside Wild Walls a few weeks ago. Anyone know who that belongs to? Washington is like Mecca to Subaru people...I love it here...

Welcome, fellow Spokanite! Hey, if you're looking for a cheap, lift-able car, I've got a wonderful, nearly rust-free '82 wagon and a '93 Loyale I need to get rid of (send me a Personal Message about that one). Anyway, there is a wealth of knowledge around here. Now that you've tapped into it, there's nowhere else you'll want to be. Marriages and friendships have been known to dissolve. I hope you can deal with that. Welcome aboard, and feel free to ask whatever you want, whenever you want!

(Yes, I read the sticky) 27" SSRs On Loyale Without Lift?
thatswhatshesaid replied to thatswhatshesaid's topic in Off Road
What does "to fit o in the rear" mean? I didn't quite get that... Anyone got pictures/walk-through for this "rolling" process? And what about the Peugeot wheels? Do they work well with tires that wide? -
I am making a week-long "tour of southern British Columbia/maybe a little of Alberta" in early June. Are there good junkyards up there? Also, Loyales in Canada were Leones, right? I want to do a "Leone conversion" to my car!
-
I know it's been over and over again, but I can't seem to find a decent answer. Has anyone here run 27" SSRs on an unlifted EA82 wagon? How much cutting/beating did it take? Also, has it been done with 15" Pug alloys? That's all I need. (And please don't tell me to "just lift it", that's in the works for another rig. This is just an auxiliary vehicle.) Thanks, guys!

86 wagon top speed question
thatswhatshesaid replied to subaruguru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
'93 Loyale, 3AT, flat ground - 90 MPH '93 Loyale, 5MT, down a hill - 96 MPH Neither were absolutely topped out, but I wouldn't want to push it.
