Passenger door mirror replacement
My brother owns a 2001 Subaru wagon (non-outback) and needs to replace the passenger door mirror. What years a compatible? (I have to ask because I'm a Loyale guy and I have no clue if its newer then '94!)

What gas Mileage do you get?
My '92 2wd sedan EA 82/NA gets 36-38 per gallon on my long commute into work. She's very stock, only a modified air box and a K&N. That's why I love this car so much.

Power window switch
Are you talking about the contacts in the switch itself or the connector the switch plugs into?

Power window switch
My power window switch on the drivers door for my '92 Loyale died, what years are compatible for this. Do these Subies often have electric window problems?

EA-82 Fan Clutch
Anybody tried a Flex-a-lite fan that eliminates the fan clutch? I did this on a Chevy Blazer years ago and was thinking about it for my Subie. It worked great on the Chevy.

how many of you actually race?
Rally-X for me, but not so much since we added kid number 2 (Angelina is 4.5 and Aiden is 9 months!) I still support my brother in law in his efforts with his Eagle Talon.

Can a 2wd Loyale be lifted?
You're not alone, I have thought about the same thing with my '92 FWD sedan. Soooo, has anyone done it???

fuel overflow tank?
I was poking around the trunk of the '92 Loyale I recently purchased and noticed some what appear to be fuel lines in the right side of the trunk under a well rusted cover. The lines look good but the clamps are rusted and need to be replaced. My question, Is this a fuel overflow system and is there any pressure to the system I need to be carefuel with when replacing the clamps? ('92 SPFI NA EA 82 FWD).

Running to cool?
Yes, I'm getting heat out of the defrost, it's not super hot but warm at least. I'm planning a flush and fill with new thermostat and hoses this weekend. What temp. is a stock thermostat?

Running to cool?
The '92 Loyale I just picked (NA EA 82 FWD) up seems to run very cool. Now I know it's November, but the gague only makes it about a quarter of the way up. It doesn't even seem very warm to the touch (hoses and such). There are no antifreeze leaks I can see and no smoke. I've put a new radiator cap on but that's all I've had time to do. Any ideas or is this normal.

New Subie tomorrow????
Bump. I picked her up on Saturday. My daughter already calls her Ruby the Subie (she is mica ruby in color). She runs great, leaks oil like crazy, needs some work, mostly body/paint but no rust. I found out I'm the third owner and she spent her early life behind a motorhome so some of her 90,000 miles were just a ride along. I already have my list for the pull a part salvage yard! So much fun yet to be had.

New Subie tomorrow????
I'm going to look at '92 Loyale sedan tomorrow. FWD, 5 speed, 'low miles' at a tick over 90,000. Body is good, no rust, it will need some paint to make it pretty again. It will be my new commuter car (70 miles a day). Wish me luck.

highest mileage update
my 'speedster' (my 4-year old daughter calls it that) is about to hit 170,000. It's actually an '88 FWD 3-door.

a debate here at work...
OK, help me settle one of those debates that happen at work. Would you/should you mix different weights of oil ie 10/40 and 20/50? What about mixing different brands of oil, ie penzoil and quaker state? Thanks for you input.

Dead in a snowstorm...
Hey Folks, My subie started right up after work (aprox. 7 hours later) I guess all the slush and high winds got things wet that shouldn't be wet...A tank of gas and some heet and I'm on the road again. Gotta love those problems that solve themselves for free!

Dead in a snowstorm...
If it is the fuel filter, wouldn't it still run but not well? It turns over but won't start. BTW it's cold with 30mph+ winds and wet snow. Ahhh spring in Colorado.

Dead in a snowstorm...
thanks, I can hear the fuel pump so I'm thinking lack of spark, I do alot of dirt road driving when I take the back way into work, maybe something worked lose?

Dead in a snowstorm...
My Subie died on the way to work today, started sputtering then died. I suspect yet another dead Accell coil (I know I should have had a spare with me) I was just wondering what else i should check when I go out tomorrow, it's way to cold and snowy to troubleshoot today. It's an '88 3 door, FWD SPFI.

neutral switch causing check engine light
the neutral switch is on the tranny, if I remember correctly on the driver's side. It's a black connector with a couple of wires running to it, not hard to find and replace. I had to replace mine for the same reason.

Idle problems driving me nuts
now, when we are talking about cleaning the IAC valve, does it involve more then the little gold cylinder (behind the power steering reservoir)? I think mine is bad but I'm not sure what to clean.

raising the idle speed?
can you raise the idle speed of an '88 SPFI EA 82. During the cold winter months I would like to idle a little faster.
