Make sure to connect the smaller lead on the positive side that goes to the under hood fuse box?Yes,I did that.Also checked all the fuses.

I Installed new battery,No dash lights when turning on ignition switch,No start.Could it be a bad ground to the transmission?The wires to the battery are also new. Need wisdom and insight!

Last year I bought a 1999 Forester for 500 bucks with bad head gaskets,Installed head gaskets twice,Then assumed it was so overheated so much the short block was warped.So I pitched the EJ25 and installed a low mileage 2001 EJ 22 from an Imprenza for 350 bucks.And after 14k miles It is still running Great!

I used mizumo gaskets the first time,I am going to use fel pro for the second try.If they don't work this I'm throwing the towel on this engine..Yep,the timing cover on that side was melted/distorted.Does the EJ 22 plug right into the EJ25 harness?Thank You.

I have a 1999 Forester i just bought that needed a new head gasket on the driver's side left.I had the head milled and installed properly torque etc..,the engine almost immediately started blowing white smoke and vomiting coolant out the tail pipe (burning coolant).Took the head out and had it pressure tested,tested good,The only thing I could see wrong was the steel rings on the upper short block(the rings you can hang the head gasket on?)One of them is pushed almost completely into the block,Could this be my problem???? .Thank You

I have a 1988 GL-10 that was orginally a turbo car,I put a regular SPFI engine in itI have the wire harness and ECU from that engineThe old wire harness that is in the car just does not match up to the turbo harness,Will I have to pull the old turbo harness and install the SPFI harness and ECU?If so How is it routed?and the best way of Pulling the old harness and installing the right harness for this engine?Thank You Very Much in advance!

Just like the rest of the comments.Cleanup all the surrounding undercoating.After welding brush on rustoleum rusty metal primer,2 to 4 coats. then re undercoat.will be stronger than factory.used to do Beetles,Things,Karmann Ghias and Those ratty 356 Porsches.

Hello Folks,I aquired a 1988 GL-10 manual 5 speed 4 X 4.It has no engine,There was a EA-82 Turbo in it.....My question is could I put a EA-81 Turbo in it?If not ....I have a EA-81 for sale or Trade for the EA-82 I would need.Thank You Very much in advance! USMB is the Bestest!
