  1. Which older generation soobs came with spider intakes as stock? (thinking about swapping mine out)
  2. Wow! That's pretty much the exact same thing as happened to me! Walkin home. saw an XT in some dude's yard. Mine also had an axle click, just got that repaired. I'd say take the plunge and buy it, especially at that price. A few simple mods and you've got a honda eater with Soob reliability. XT's Rule!
  3. HOT DAMN! That thing is SWEET! Need a ladder to get in that ?
  4. I would recommend an XT. Then you could also eat all the civics on the way.
  5. Alright, thanks a lot spidey, i guess ill just do that then. Sounds simple but ill probably be here all day doing it . I would do that, dave, but the rear axles were out of the car when i bought it, definately gotta put those in. Thanks for the great help guys!
  6. So you think it's the joint or the entire axle? Thanks for the help spidey.
  7. Actually there was a lot of noise when turning more than lane changes, I thought it was the power steering?
  8. Howdy Y'all, Got another problem for the board. I was driving my car this morning at about 1 am ( just got off work ) and I heard a strange thumping griding noise coming from about my left foot. I slowed down, pulled over, had a look, nothing was physically missing, and got back in and went to let out the clutch (while in first gear ) and apply a little gas. All that happened was a grinding noise and a lurch forward. I tried again a few times, but nothing happened. So I got to walk home (only about 2 miles, but still) at 1 am. Does anyone here have ANY idea of what could cause these symptoms? Does this sound like a CV boot problem, Tranny, or something else? Everyone's expertise would be very helpful.
  9. Hey all you utahns! I'm from Spanish Fork, but I don't get any off-roadin done. (It's kind of hard in a XT). Cool to know theres some real soob enthusiasts around here!
  10. I think you misunderstood me, moosens. I was just meaning to say that there was a list from a similar set of circumstances on the board. Here is a list of Sube guys / gals who will try to help a traveler in trouble ?. I didn't mean there was anything Wrong with the post. Sorry about any misdirection on my part.
  11. I think this subject has actually already been covered. Do a search for it and see. The thread I saw was fairly extensive, but may not be up to date. Good Luck!
  12. Does removing the A/C and PS really have much difference on power output (remember, we're talkin a whopping 97 horses) on an 86 XT? How hard would it be to do this? (I've searched but haven't found much material on this) What about swapping out the mechanical radiator for an electric one? Any replies would be great.
