Ok guys I need some front struts for my GL 87 Wagon. I found a set on ebay saying they are for a 90-94 loyale... Will these fit my wagon? The set if $70 instead of $180 locally:)
-
mine did that when the alternator died. all the idiot lights would come on and it would run till the carb ran out of fuel. often you could let it sit and the alternator would cool off and work again for a bit.
My mechanic told me it could also be the ignition module thats getting hot. Anyone have any ideas to test/and tips to swap out the alternator or the distributor? Forgot to say it has Throttle body injection.

Ok my dad just called me and said the car EA82 Wagon is stalling while driving it. He says he waits a few minutes and it will then start and die again after a few more minutes :-\ What could be going on?
-
Making it look right? LOL!
Lol right... Could you describe the process your following? I just worked on my body and I didnt find it hard at all
-
I use 10W-40 Castrol GTX with Some MMO in it Seems to work good for me
-
First he says 3 engines, then 13 and he has 8 lol. That adds up to 24 EA-82T Engines not bad jajajajaja. GD I think they beat you:banana:
-
dont get me rong ithis is my 13th motor in 3 years the one that is in it now is about 10mo old now and it has ben runing grate 15 psi
ps i am veary hard on my cars i push them to the liment & 1/6/07 is a day that i will miss my 93 subaru imprza for ever
90 in to a tree out on my property
This has to be a joke, ok man you got us:banana:
-
There is no help for you. Sorry kid.
But I would enjoy watching you fail at trying to prove to the audience here that you have ever put 18 psi into an 82t. Either you are a lier or you just have really poor insturmentation. Anyway there's still no help for you.
What the hell is wrong with the education system these days?
GD
Its kind of sad when we all try and tell him his spelling is off and he neglects to spell check, even Firefox will do it for you Kind of sad my English isnt my first language and I live in Puerto Rico and my typing is still better than his :-\ I would be Immensely ammused by him proving 18psi on the 82T lol.
I dont know much about the turbo engine but it sounds to me like your squeezing an orange and expecting apple juice to come out
-
I think you're on acid :-\
You cant be boosting 15lbs, otherwise you hit fuel cut.
And I find it very hard to read your typing, its like a 6yr old did it :-\
Dont forget he has a hood schoop to prevent fuel cut
-
Well, I spent ALL day today trying to do body work on the car... Just started with the doors, trunk and front fenders.
I totally suck at body filler/bondo :-\
Every spot I tried to fix now looks worse...
I just don't have the patience for all this sanding. And I have no clue how to do it properly, despite all the tips i've gotten about how to do i.
I'd much rather pay someone to do this, but nobody is willing to do it for an amount I can afford right now.
I might be able to help you man. What are you having trouble with?

$400 for a set of 4 shipped 2nd day air is pretty sweeeet. Will the backspacing work? Its just a matter of widening the holes by 1.5mm correct? What about tire options? Arnt these REALLY wide at 8 inches?
-
Hey, it was cheap. Guess I'll paint mine and stop the rust from one side.
GD, if I'm understanding correctly, wouldn't the turbo manifold decrease performance?
They do kind of rust, I painted mine with VHT header paint, actually I did my entire exhaust from the engine back with it

No links sorry just head down to Autozone or Pep boys and look in the carpet section
-
The kit in autozone of fabric is $12
-
Friend of mine did his with the headliner fabric kit sold in major parts stores and some 3M spray glue and it looks fantastic, I even thought of letting him do mine. It is allot of work though to remove all the moldings in order to get it right Good luck.

Wow that stinks then a Turbo from Cherry bomb:) http://s104.photobucket.com/albums/m171/Caramanos2000/?action=view¤t=PICT4411.flv
-
Go with a 2" straight pipe and if its too loud put in a Cherry Bomb glasspack or turbo muffle Mine sounds great with it
-
Yeah it has a grownl but I think he means the distinctive sound of a Subaru Boxer. I know I can tell one without looking

Ok guys my mechanic told me my front shocks are going bad:confused: The right fron makes a clanking sound when going over small bumps and what not. I have a parts car id like to swap the shocks from and might aswell do the steering rack too. The shocks should be 5 or 6 bolts and im done. Any tips for the steering rack? is it going to be something better left to an actual mechanic?
-
Well clean it up nicely and give some jb weld a go
-
I just pulled one and it can be done easily without pulling off the throttle body. Be gent with the older hoses as they tend to brake. Make sure to clean all water passages and might as well remove the EGR and clean the carbon deposits out.
-
That would be the least of my worries. Depends on price, condition, mileage, rust etc.
-
I going to be pulling some parts from a donor, the include
- Shocks and struts
- Springs
- Steering Rack
- Power steering pump
- Power steering reservoir
- AC Compressor
- Alternator (Looks new but its a Hitachi?)
- Air Flow sensor
- air intake box
I was wanting to clean up and restore everything I could before installing them into my daily driver. What paint would be adequate for these parts that would take the heat? Should I just use some engine enamel for the engine bay parts and some regular spray paint for the suspension and steering rack.
- Shocks and struts

Im in Puerto Rico, dont know if you would still want a name and phone
