Sanded and re did all my connections at the battery, starter and alternator. So far its working good. Any ideas of what it could of been, before doing this my voltage was around 14v on my dash needle and varied depen ding on the vehicle rpm. Now its constant at just above 12v. Before doing this the car would also jerk when turning to the right, now thats also stopped.... coincidence?

Thats what I thought too and thats why I used a jump wire between the starter lead and the battery positive terminal but it wouldnt do anything at all. Will try cleaning all my connections and replacing my cable terminals and try again after tapping the starter. Will a starter from an automatic fit my manual car?

Ok guys this is the story: Have an 87 GL Wagon, 1 month old battery in it. Car wont turn over at all, just makes a slight clicking sound. Tried to jump start it and nothing, added a wire between the positive and alternator and nothing. Then i tried jumping the starter from the positive on the battery and nothing. Had to push the car to start it, after its on it runs fine. Even when its off all my lights and elec. works good, it just wont turn over. Someone told me maybe I have bad cable terminals and I should try replacing them, any other ideas? Here is my baby and this is me

Water in my interior
Caramanos2000 replied to Caramanos2000's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I checked this area, no dirt no nothing not even rust... The windshield is the likely culprit as the rubber seal is starting to buldge outwards. -
When it rains I get water showering my feet coming from the pedal area. Its a 87 GL Wagon. You good folks have any ideas?

Not a problem already have them up and running. I bought a Bi-Xenon kit off ebay it was $80 shipped priority (not from china). I will post pics tonight of the results -
I bought a 9004 HID kit, can I just use the connector it comes with or do I have to solder the wires because the 87 GL is wired different?

Can I mount a hatch lift from an 84 wagon to a 87 wagon? Which one will fit and work best? Can I mount and use 205/60 R13 tires safely on my stock wheels? Can I corner hard on them safely? Or Should I just stick to a decent pair of 175/70s?

What if I offered him the parts plus $100 for both cars? -
Good find/good trade? 84 Coupe
Caramanos2000 replied to Caramanos2000's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I cant find any 5spd donor cars I also went to see a EA82T GL-10 with 39k on it. Engine ran GREAT but everything else was shot. -
I spotted an 84 GL Coupe and stopped to ask about it. It has some rust on the botton panels. Engine is EA81 and looks clean and original, new brake pump, interior is PERFECT. Has 141k on the odo, automatic trans, car has no brakes, it leaks fluid badly from one caliper. We made an agreement I would give him a 3at, starter motor and an alternator for an EA82 and I could have the car. Should I go for it?

new cv axle compare to junkyard axle
Caramanos2000 replied to crazyman03's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I got crappy autozone axles for $60 each with a lifetime warranty:banana: -
Can someone point me in the correct direction, my 5spd single range has lots of slop all around. The guides I found seemed to be for the 4spd, should I just go with those?
