  1. Bill Sweet fab job. Looks alot nicer than the one I made Unc
  2. Dan I don't know if theres a difference between the coupe and the wagon. And I'm not sure which is the set of numbers that you need. M52 A 4 LNSG L FW 499 Regards Unc
  3. Had the same problem with the 87" wag that I put an EA81 in, Put a manual gauge on it and had good pressure. The gauge in the dash was bad, it even peg when I grounded it and was dropping below the zero mark. Unk
  4. Did it to the better half's 87'. The y-pipe will fit. As for the power steering, you'll have to fab a mount for it like the one shown in the Haynes repair manual, Pg 10-25. You'll have to cut the pulley for bolt clearance and change the fluid reservoir as the EA82 reservoir hits the air cleaner ( I used one for a nisson PU 85MY). Then you'll have to shorten the lines. The pump ends up being under driven, but it works. Unc
  5. I think its time for a new speedo. If it wasn't reading at all or reading low then maybe a cable, but pegged, that would indicate the hair spring has come loose or broke. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/speedometer3.htm It shouldn't mess up the oddom reading. jm2c Unc
  6. Ok, as soon as the better half gets home from her work I'll take a look. pulling the switch sounds like the best bet .Thanks both of you. Unc
  7. 87 GL WG, 3at, 4wd, swaped in EA81, stock Alternator went bad so I've done the MAXIMA upgrade, its Carbed, Non-feedback so no ECM under steering, and no green connectors on firewall or drivers kick panel that I've been able to find. And disconnecting the battery didn't work. any other ideas? :-\ Unc
  8. Try this link, it may help http://www.prosubaru.com/tech/wheels.htm
  9. I did it on the wifes car. runs great, she all:grin:. Is your 87 carbed or FI? When you search, think along the lines of putting a newer tranny into an older vehicle, IE. you may have to remove some metal for the flywheel to fit. You may also have to build or mod the pitch stopper. ALSO, you may find a mismatch with the distributor and coil, hitchi with hitchi and ND with ND. keep them the same, DON'T mix = Burned parts!!! Power steering is another headache. AS for the AC, I took it off (bad compressor) and theres not enough room as it would hit the battery. Ed
  10. If it has the Hitachi distributor the same ignition control module was used in the following vehicles. 82-85 S-10 & S-15, 83-84 Blazer & jimmy, 80-89 Accord, 80-87 Civic, 80-90 Prelude, 87 Wagovan.... The list go's on & on, so most u-pull-it's should have a few to choose from.
