  1. If I bought this wagon, would anyone be willing to pick it up and do an EJ swap for me? http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/cto/4289281034.html
  2. Thanks for the reply Scott. I plan to find a clean Brat and will need help finding everything for the EJ22 swap. I'll PM you to see if you have any suggestions. Essentially I will be looking for someone to build me a super clean EJ brat. Thanks!
  3. Does anyone know who could do an EJ22 swap for me in the Seattle area? Looking to buy a clean Brat and then pay someone to swap in an Ej22 and do a few other upgrades. Any recommendations on shops or USMB members that do these swaps on the side?
  4. If it's old news, then why did Left Lane news only report this today as "new reports?" Everything I have read up until today stated that there would be an RWD and AWD option. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  5. I hope this report is wrong. I have been looking forward to a new Subaru AWD Sports Coupe. No AWD = no interest for me. http://www.leftlanenews.com/report-subaru-version-of-ft-86-may-feature-rwd-not-awd.html
  6. I haven't seen other articles posted on here discussing the upcoming 2011 Impreza XV crossover, so I thought I'd post this from the Geneva Motor Show: http://www.topspeed.com/cars/subaru/2011-subaru-impreza-xv-ar85802.html http://www.caradvice.com.au/59211/subaru-impreza-xv-geneva-2010/ I really hope the dual range 5-speed in the 2011 Impreza XV 2.0R model makes its way to the states! I wish the dual range 5-speed would be available with 2.0D Diesel engine, however according to the article above it will only be available with the 2.0R Turbo gas engine model. A 2.0D Impreza XV with a dual range 5-speed would be awesome to lift and turn into an even more capable off-road vehicle! I doubt we'll get this dual range 5-speed in the US, but it would be cool.

  8. Thanks! That is Mt McLaughlin off in the distance.
  9. Here are a couple other cool shots:
  10. Today I met up with some friends and decided to head up in the hills in Southern Oregon overlooking the Rogue Valley. We went up Anderson Creek in Talent and took some forest service roads up to old mining roads. We then got on a few trails that were quite a bit of fun. I am waiting on pics from my friend to post of the more challenging obstacles we went through earlier in the day. I mostly got "poser shots," with my camera when we stopped. We eventually made our way up to the top of a plateau with an awesome view down on the Rogue Valley before coming back down Griffin Creek. My Subaru did very well. It was funny to see all of the 4x4's on the trail look at me driving by in amazement that someone was driving a Subaru up there. I guess lifted Subaru's aren't all too common in Southern Oregon. All in all, it was a lot of fun!
  11. Your wagon is coming along nicely Markus! I'm glad the snorkel worked out for you. ~Bobby
  12. I've posted pics of my snorkel before, but here you go: It's 3" exhaust pipe custom done at my friend's exhaust shop. It's mounted with some tabs on the snorkel that are bolted down to nuts that are welded onto the a-pillar. I topped it off with a Safari Snorkel head and then plumbed it under the hood to an in-line enclosed K&N Apollo air filter. If it weren't for the great deal my friend gave me on the parts and labor, then this would probably cost more than most people want to spend on a Subaru snorkel. Besides getting cooler and cleaner air, so far it has only really helped with driving through deep puddles and streams on trails that splashed up under the hood. I don't have plans of doing any river fording considering the rest of my car is not water-proofed.
  13. Very cool guys! I wish I could have made it! Some very cool rides and it looks like a ton of fun was had. Plenty of shotgunning of beers, but surprisingly no beer bongs?
