  1. I'm looking at a 90-91 legacy L AWD sedan with a auto tranny. It will not go in reverse. is there a governer that can be cleaned like on the older GL models? What could it be? It goes forward fine in all gears.
  2. I have found a about two-hundred subarus all 90 and older. I've been driving buy this place for the last 5 years and finally stopped Its on your way to Anacortes Washington. If you have ever driven up there Its right before the Chevy dealer on the left up on the hill side. Here is a taste of what he has. 6 gen 1 brats 4 gen 2 brats 5 XT4 most with turbo 0 xt6 lots of wagons lots of sedans didn't ask if there was a RX or not sorry He will sell the whole car and do some parting out but I figure that two or more people could buy one car and get what they need for alot less than individual prices.   3. Will a Xt 4x4 4spd auto tranny bolt up in place of a 4x4 3spd auto in a GL-10 sedan? Will I need the driveline? Will the pistol auto shifter fit? any info would help. thanks, Ian Shastko
  4. Is the XT6 fuel pump higher flow than the turbo model? is it external or internal? I'm looking to upgrade any help please let me know if anyone knows. Thanks, Ian Shastko
  5. yep! it is! here is a breakdown of what I used and its really a drop in fit too 1- saab long 2" O.D. aluminium intercooler pipe with funky 90 deg. bend 1- cast aluminium 90 deg 2.5" O.D. elbow 1- 2" I.D. 90 deg intercooler hose 3- 2.5" I.D. x 3" intercooler hose 1- SVO mustang/t-bird intercooler 1- 2" I.D. x 3" intercooler hose 1- 2.5" O.D. x 4" aluminium intercooler pipe as far as the BOV I have access to a machine shop and it only would cost about 20 bucks for someone to do a surfasemount like mine. All items were purchased off of EBAY for really cheap. I still doing a mounting bracket for it but its not going anywhere. If there are any questions just ask.
  6. The Blow off valve is to atmosphere. The HKS super AFR has a electric idle stabalizer to compensate for it. Its COOOL! whoooosh!

  8. Trying to findout what filter to use in my car. My car is a 87 GL-10(turbo). The K&N sight has no real selection for the turbo motor. yet there are two part numbers. One for the RX (P/N:33-2232) witch I would think woud be the same as my turbo sedan and one for a 1.8L F.I engine (P/N:33-2010). Does anyone know?
  9. I was lucky to pick this one up for $150. I was originally on ebay but sence the guy ended up living two blocks away he ended it early and gave me a good deal. Thanks to by the way. I will be installing an older apexi afc-r could you give me any info to make the install easier?
  10. I need the following locations on a 87 turbo ECU: -RPM and or injector signal -ECU ground -throttle position -speed signal -ECU 12v power
  11. Not sure. I think subarutex has one of those installed. But a AfC is differant than a AVC. The AFC stand for Air Flow Converter and is used for air/fuel managment. AVC stands for actuator Valve controller and is used for boost controll.

  13. Whats going on with the group buy? I need to get my car on the road. Will they do one off's? Could someone give me some contact information? I don't mean to step on toes but I wasn't joking when I said I wanted and needed the parts. I need to know if I need to look for another sorce or not. Update?
  14. Well I haven't been able to find a egr solinoid valve for the vaccume system in my car so what is the best way to remove or bypass the system? Take off the EGR valve and plug it? Just plug the vaccume lines? whats the best way to deal with it. I'm only able to hit about 4PSI of boost right now and I suspect the EGR system to be the problem sense its the only part of the engine not complete. Its an 87 GL-10 turbo sedan with automatic tranny.
  15. You might try looking for some old Chevy sprint turbo cars. they had a 1.0L engine with a turbo on it making a wopping 65 or 75 HP. I think that is the closest you are going to get with out searching internationaly.
  16. the turbo you are looking for is a T2 out of I think cars like the plymoth sundance, dodge Omni GLH and other diamler-chrisler cars. They put these turbos in anything from minivans to there newyorker. I will do some more searching in my records because they did upgrade to a T3 later in the engine production line of the 2.2. Its I think the smallest mass produest turbo put into production. hope that helps.

Trying to find the current owner of My old Legacy turbo here is the story I sold the car to a punk here in washington state about a year ago and then he sold it about six months ago to someone in oregon. here are some specs on the car to narrow down the search. Red in color Custom intercooler Nardi sti steering wheel (JDM) 16" gold wheels five spoke old rs style blitz turbo timer, autometer boost gauge, nordskog air/fuel gauge HKS downpipe turboXS up-pipe 3" exhaust gofastbits blow off valve short through shifter and the list goes on and on. I really want to get a hold of the current owner and hope that he has joined one of the subaru groups. HOPEING TO BUY IT BACK SOMEDAY! Any info would be very helpfull. I will try to post some pictures
  22. so there is no factory boost control? then what do the two lines 1 from the waistgate 2 from the out of turbo go to then. I had a 91 legacy turbo and had to disconnect and plug those while leaving the solinoid plugged in. Is this a defferant system?
