  1. I am thinking it would be easier to put it behind the passenger seat on the floor board. That way I can run a short run of fi hose instead of hard lines. I haven't really looked at it yet thought.
  2. Bill's 6" lift kit lowers the fuel pump 3" so it is kinda in harms way. Bill says to move it into the cab behind the drivers seat on the floor (I'm not running any rear seats) to keep it out of the mud. Is that gonna be hard?
  3. I meant should I torque the car on the jackstands or on the ground under its own weight
  4. 1990 loyale wagon spfi offroad only. Should I torque the rear lift bolts at full droop or with weight on them? There is a little play in the brackets so I didnt know which is best. I know "search" but where are all of the lift instructions and why are the pictures always gone? I could use some help here and there installing my boss 6" lift and pics would be nice. What do I do with the fuel pump? It seems kinda exposed now.
  5. when I deleted the heater I took the vacuum canister thing out from the passenger side strut tower. Is there anything else that feeds off of its vacuum supply? It looks like the push button 4wd works off of it but Im swapping in a D/R 5mt.
  6. I have deleted the heater, and both headlights work so I guess that is not why my turn signals stopped working. Might have left something unplugged.
  7. I stripped out my dash and unplugged a bank of 4 relays(?) and im not sure if I got them plugged back in right. The relays have stayed in the holder, so their order should be right. I just need to know which wire goes to which relay.
  8. So even though I have 27" tires now and plan on getting atleast a 31" next, my car being completely stripped will help me not break as many parts.
  9. why did the 4eat's in svx's blow? When I bought my 2005 wrx people talked like the 4eat was stonger than the 5mt. I almost bought one and put a good TC in it, but I love to shift. Well actually the wrx was my first manual transmission. So I loved the idea of shifting when I bought it. Now I love to shift.
  10. so... since the battery & radiator are gonna be in the rear, how much trouble would I have fitting an eg33 in the loyale. What would I have to worry about? The single core radiator would have to be replace. I would almost rather have an auto for the mud because as soon as you touch the clutch the mud stops the tires from moving.
  11. ok, is that kinda like when you ramp a dirtbike and you use the brakes and throttle to keep it flat?
  12. this only has to last one day. I am probably gonna wound it fatally during my mud bog on the 3rd of july. I want it in the rear for a more even landing. Last time I ramped it, it pretty much landed on the headlights.
  13. are they hard to put back in? Come winter time it is gonna be cold playing in the snow. Well maybe not if I reverse the fans to blow the hot air on me. Why not use hose? My car is not legal and I don't wanna trailer it to town to the exhaust shop.
  14. I am gonna mount my radiator in the rear of my 1990 loyale Mudwagon between the rear shock towers where the rear seatback was.. Should I use the stock radiator? It would be cheaper and I am pretty much broke. I have 2 12" 2000cfm electric radiator fans that I am gonna use to push air to the back where i will have the hatch removed to allow the heat to escape. The 2 12" fans will be a tight fit, do I really need a shroud? The rad is 25x12.75 so most of the rad will have air flowing over it. I'm gonna run rad hose through the car and out of the firewall. The hose will be covered in that mesh type hose protector. Think I should run a electric water pump on the cool side to help pump the water back or will that move the water too fast and not allow for proper cooling? I'm just gonna run something like water wetter and distilled water because the bottle says it cools better without the antifreeze. I'll just flush it out in the winter. Any other cooling tips? In the winter I can put the hatch back on and I'll never notice I took the heater out Has anyone moved their battery to the rear? The metal under my battery is gone and I'm afraid the battery is gonna fall thru. I bought a plastic battery box that I'm gonna put where the seat bottom once was.
  15. very good point sir. I have a spare turbo wrap kit but I wouldn't really wanna use it on this car. Do ej22t's have intercoolers?
  16. i guess i'll let the decision be made by what I can find. I don't think I wanna pay to have a motor shipped and I doubt a junkyard is gonna want to take the time to give me a motor with all of the accessories and wires and ecu that I would need to make the swap work.
  17. i dont know anything and I know less everyday.
  18. here is my event on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/event.php?eid=317736240447 don't now if the link will work though.
  19. On 9/25/2008 my "little" brother John "BIG John" Williams was killed in a motorcycle accident. Every year for 7 or 8 years my brother has had a mud bog on our farm in southern Indiana in an old cow pond that never really held water. As his brother I am going to keep it going every year. There is usually a small pit for the stockish vehicles and a bigger pit that 38"+ tire guys get stuck in. Doesn't cost a thing to get in but there isn't any winnings either. It isn't a competition just a bunch of vehicles having fun. Afterwards my parents have everyone over for some food. We have set up a scholarship in my brother's name for a local student going into the automotive vocational school. So if you come and have a few dollars to spare but if you're broke i dont care still come and get stuck. I am debuting the mudwagon. My 1990 loyale wagon d/r 5mt, tractor v groove tires. here is the big hole swallowing my loyale: we drain the water off for the mudbog This truck has 44" tires
  20. you are probably right, this thing is a light weight. I am always looking for ways to make it lighter. I'm on a diet as well, hoping to lose a bit of weight before the 3rd of july when we have our annual mud bog on our farm. I think the sound of an open dp turbo would sound nice in the mud but it is overkill. But I am the king of overkill. 21. ugh! Did they mess up the prep or do the diy kits just suck? Wonder if anyone would even spray an interior?
  22. anyone have any idea what kind of tire pressure run in these tractor tires? They have a max tire pressure of 36psi. I am running 20 psi in them right now.
  23. How much are ej22t's going for now days? I have a loyale that I'm converting into a mud only offroad vehicle and I was thinking that since the mud likes horsepower that might be the motor for me if I can keep it cool. That might be a problem since I am mounting the radiator inside the cargo area to keep the rad from getting damaged and clogged with mud. I would need an awic because an air to air intercooler depending on the location would just get clogged up unless I ran an intercooler washer to flow water over it during a run to keep the intercooler clear. My clutch and tranny might not even be up to the task because I have planned on running my ea82 dual range tranny. list of current mods: 6 lug hubs from BOSS 6 lug 14" steel Nissan truck wheels 7-14 Carlisle v groove tractor tires (27.2" tires) rearend welded homemade 3" pvc snorkle front fenders removed for clearance no lift yet, but I am hoping to get a BOSS 6" lift soon interior completely stripped except front seats, shifter, steering wheel, pedals, instrument cluster and wiring plan on: using a roll on bedliner on the floors to keep the floor from rusting moving the rad to the rear with electric fans. moving the battery to the rear because the battery box is rusted thru, I can see the battery from the fender well. run the exhaust out of the hood relocate all of the vents for the tranny and rearend swapping in the dual range 5mt and new clutch that I have laying around using some old conveyor belt as a way to keep the underneath of the car more streamline to keep the suspension and steering parts from causing drag in the mud an ej swap. Hopefully an ej22t but probably an ej22 or ej25
  24. It is a mudwagon not a waterwagon. So it needs to be mudproof more than waterproof. My new ecu came in today. Hopefully it starts now.
  25. The cap on my power steering reservoir feels tight but after sinking the car it looks like chocolate milk. So I bet the seal is bad.
