Ive bought 6 clutch kits from these guys in the last year or so, never had a problem.

Unbelievable! My kids 84 GL wagon key opened it!
awesome!
Ive locked my keys in the xt6 a couple times recently, the hardest car ive ever tried to open with a wire (never seems to be a slim jim around when I need one) so ive resigned myself to lock up with the key only..so far so good

who wouldnt want his car, its sweet!

If you've seen Turbone's RX then make a clone of it which is basically what I'm doing:lol:
And what does Mr. Turbone think of this?

Got to love the Justy board, No yes and maybe is the answer. Dusty's Justys are iffy. Like i said i may call and if it is 20.00 for four (personally I wouldnt put them on craiglist if they were that little, i would just scrap them) and get them...unless someone else has a source for 13 inch tires that dont cost 90.00
hehe, I like the dusty justy thing, just what I told the wife when we honeymooned in Kauai and a justy was included in our package and it was full of red dirt, got across their parking lot and turned around and upgraded to a 5.0 litre mustang conv, that got us into traffic quick:)....this was over 20 years ago, maybe they have improved

Jason in Parts at what was formerly Auburn Subaru (1stsubaruparts.com) at 1-866-528-5282 (toll free) works for me. Website is too cumbersome to use, but Jason will give you the internet discount if you call him.
Thought I would update this thread.
I just spoke with Jason on some sti goodies, im impressed with pricing and his knowledge. They have a new website but the toll free number is the same as above.

My donor legacy has a bad ecu, its a '90 legacy 5 spd awd and has pn 22611-aa562 ( B9 ) . I have an ecu from a '92 legacy with part number 2611-11930f ( F9 ). I didnt pull the ecu from the '92 and I havnt been able to go from part number to application or determine if they are transmission specific. Has anyone found a part number to model, year, trans etc or know if the '92 would be compatible with the '90? They have the same plugs but two different manufacturers which might explain the different part numbers.

I put LEDs in mine too, sorry no night time shot...
Time to pull some codes ?

Right! I couldn't see the forest for the trees! So the radiator will sit closer to the front of the engine. Should be neat none the less. Hopefully some fans will still fit behind there unless you're keen on mounting them out the front.
Cheers
Bennie
I plan on running twin fans and a waic radiator in front Bennie. Most likely ill have to ditch the hood latch and go with hood pins.

G'day mark,
Got any pics of the mods done to the lower radiator support panel? All I can see is the stock lower rad panel, the gear used and some clippings of the upper support panel and then the finished product.
I'm just keen to see if your job is neater/easier/engineer friendly (something Ruby Scoo should have done as its legally required over here ) - also keen to see if its easier than what some of the boys have done over here...
Cheers
Bennie
Hi Bennie, the first pic shows the mods, the plates bolted to the botom of the lower support and also note the corner braces of the lower support, ive cut some of it out with a 4" angle grinder witha cut wheel.
Cheers sir

Congratulations! Sorry you can't make it, but it sounds like you'll have a pretty good day anyway
Thanks! Should be a pretty good day, I get to give away a daughter...but trading for subi parts would be a good deal too...right?

I just responded to your PM.
Here is some more info on the fans.
10" Zirgo 1340 CFM reversible radiator cooling fan w/ curved blades. Dimensions: 11" wide x 11.5" tall x 2.75" deep. Amp draw 8-10. Part # ZF10S.
You can find them on ebay quite often. I think thats where I got these.
They are sweet fans. They were to be installed on my supercharged SHO Taurus, but the project got scrapped.
Looks like they would fit just fine and leave just enough room for a waic radiator, Ill get back with you.

Any opinions on switched vs continuous ?
-
I saw a pair of these mounted on capt_r's EJ swapped wagon.
He even has A/C (condenser) so they are slim enough to fit.
These will be getting installed on my swap when I replace the rad soon.
I have to ditch my condensor, im running fans in front of the radiator and also have a waic radiator to fit somewhere up there too. Im pretty sure the hood latch is a goner also.
-
stock mazda protege fans from the junkyard work very well also.they are about 10" and push , pull whatever.pretty high CFM's in relation to stock ej fans for sure.
cheers, b
Thanks for the heads up.

I spent most of the day trying to finish up my shift linkage. I received an ea82 5 speed shifter with the ej 5 speed i bought, it had been short shifted. My 4" lift just screwed with me, it was either the transtunnel boot holding me up, driveline clearance or the console. After a few in and outs, and a couple different anchor brackets I decided to dig out the gen 1 leg shifter I grabbed from a donor for my sons future rx ej conversion. I had tried buying a short shifter but no one references one for gen1 leg's, scooby mods offered to try to set me up with a kartboy by comparing dimensions, etc. In my search I ran across this post on rslibertyclub, its pretty messy but the important info is pulling the pivot ball and adding additional length. During a visit to GD's last summer I asked if he could short shift it for me. He must have had at least 4 different diameters of round stock, and said no prob. I had him add 1" below the pivot and man, I have 1 1/2 " travel at the knob from neutral to any gear, no boot or console issues other than the console boot, it gives me more resistance than I like so its soon to be leather.
in neutral it sits centered in the console now:)...and I got grease on the seat:mad:

you could tie it off or remove the rear half, front half anchors at center bearing, 10mm wrench on the flanges
