  1. Why You just not install seats from impreza Sti? Here's mine, replaced from 2004 STI: Looks and feel pretty good, but maybe it needs to stay a little lower (for me high seats is a habit now, after almost 2 years of use) .
  2. The car is really amazing! Beautiful combination of rare stock details and tuning components! Really nice!
  3. Thanks! Yes it's upside down, because it was transplanted power windows from left wheel drive donor to my JDM subie. With a complete rewiring we decided to turn it down because the rear window buttons not so worn out.
  4. Agree. Subaru going pretty well on a weber carb even with automatic tranny. Congratulations!
  5. UberScoober I think it was very funny ride . Here's mine on a local amateour competition. Sorry for dirt - there was too cold for washing (about -15C).
  6. Thanks! No, i went to master and he make new interior just like my front seats from 2004 STI, almost the same color and almost the same material. Now front seats looks like they from this car, all things are in one style.
  7. Renew the interior. I think it's beautiful. Hope to install momo steering wheel soon.
  8. And another one from Ukraine! Front: 99 Impreza turbo knukles, rotors and calipers, KYB gas struts Impreza reworked ball joints. Rear: Redrilled drums, wings little wider Wheels: 15 Advanti SH01 with 195/50/15 Nexen (summer) and 185/65/15 Yokohama (winter) Also thanks for everyone, and, especially, Turbone for good suggestions about 5 lug swap!
  9. My car is carbed. Firstly i think swap only transmission , thats why i so interested about tunnel. But after all this answers may be better find first gen legacy and swap engine, "electronic brains" and transmission? Now my car is FWD, so i can search the FWD legacy or convert my car to 4WD. Guys, big thanks for your answers! But now i have more questions about it. I was think is relatively simply, and main issue is the probably smaller tunnel. But now i see is more complexity.
  10. Great thanks to all who answer! May be i will buy a newer loyale or, even, legacy, and will swap from donor not only transmission but engine, tranny, ECU, TCU, etc... That's why a smaller tunnel can be only one real issue for me. I'm digg into internet and not find any mention about another body used from 1988. Chassis models also not changed. I know earlier (before 84) models have different tunnel, but not sure about difference between 84 and 88 cars.It seems a bit illogically from point of unification I think. Also bigger tunnel can change some in salon or dashboard. Can anyone have some pictures of 3AT and 4AT transmissions, or better dimensions? Or experience of swap newer tranny into older body?
  11. I have 3 speed FWD auto tranny in my 1985 car and thinking about swap it to the newer 4 spd tranny. I know about 25 splines and ECU on the 4 spd tranny, it is not a big problem for me. Also i hear somewhere that subaru from 1988 have bigger transmission tunnel, is it right?
  12. Going to turner on factory, He redrilled rear drum to 5x100, you can see the pld 4x140 holes on it.
  13. Finally! Make 5 lug conversion with impreza turbo front suspension, loks beauuuutiful!
