  1. Wow i dont know what ur year of subie is but i just looked up the prices on that site and there is a big defference in prices between the 90-94 and 95-99 years. The 90-94 was $209 and the 95-99 was only $71. Thats crazy. I wish mine would have been that price lol.
  2. Either they're hookin u up or u are dreaming, the dealership told me $180 so i went to napa and got one so i didnt have to wait to have it shipped from a website for $140. But even if its not instock i'd get it, im sure it wouldnt take very long for them to get it.
  3. Lol... I need to get that sticker. That guy wishes he was my twin, he has a ford that wishes it was subie wagon lol. I chose my name because the guys at work call me shaggy. But i would definatley say that it is ur voltage regulator or ur brushes, an uneven surface or uneven brushes will cause them not to touch wich equals no power being created. But its probably the voltage regulator goin wacky. If u plan on keepin ur car for a long time i would go with one that has the lifetime garuntee. At my local napa it was only $10-$20 more than the one that had a 3 year warranty, so to me thats a no brainer. I'd pick one up as soon as u can so u dont ruin ur battery and/or brake down somewhere.
  4. Definately ur alternator. I had similar problems recently. I went through everything under the sun to diagnoss it. Had my alternator tested, and put a voltage meter to it and it was fine. I was stumped. Finaly i said ************ it and bought an alternator a week ago from napa for $140 with a lifetime garantee for as long as i own my car and now i have no problems what so ever.
  5. I want one of those bumpers for my 90 legacy wagon. They're fricken sweet. Where did u get it from. I wonder if i can mod it to fit my car or if it will just bolt in, that would kick rump roast
  6. I second the first gen, as long as the price is right. a bull bar would be sweet but a bumper with a bull bar would also be cool, but what ever u make i Would definately be interested. Something like what was on the pic of that outback would look realy nice on a first gen legacy. Definately post pics when u get it done. Oh ya, if u could make a mounting spot for a wench on it that would be three thumbs up.
  7. Congrats on the new ride. Its a nice rig, wish i coulda snagged it up. Can't wait to see some wheelin pics.
  8. What would be better the hella 500 driving lights or the 700ff driving lights. I personally likenthe 700's myself so thats wut im leaning towards.
  9. Thanks for tellin me that that was only one, i didnt even realize it. This is why i like to post this kinda stuff. Thanks for the link im probably gonna go for these if the wife lets me lol.
  10. I was thinking about picking these up when i get my taxes, but i was just wondering if anyone knows if the subaru baja lights are even worth buying? They are $74 and he says they go for around $122 from the stealership. Im gonna cal the stealership tommorow and see how much they are. I know my sister bought a foglight for her 97 outback from the dealership and was about $100 dollars for one. If i shouldnt get these wut lights would u guys recomend. I want to mount them on my roof rack. Also where would u guys route the wires up to there without looking like crap. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HELLA-SUBARU-BAJA-LAMPS-DRIVING-FOG-LIGHTS-DUNE-BUGGY-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5ad8566d20QQitemZ390176599328QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_3362wt_599
  11. I forgot to add that jcwitney does price matching and if their shipping is cheaper that might be the cheapest route to go. Nevermind this post( i looked and they dont carry that size)
  12. I just found the 195 bfg's for $107 and the shipping wasnt bad either, they are almost $100 cheaper than tire rack. Shipping from tire rack for me was $60 and from the other it was $77. Heres the link http://tirecrawler.com/shop/detail_tire.php?product_id=8939?post=1&wishlist=&item_options_array=Array The 27" bfg's that i just found a little bit ago were suposed to only be 26.5" according to the website. But i think im gonna play it safe and go with the better gas mileage as gas is outrageous and is only gonna keep going up supposidly and go with the 195's
  13. Found the 27" bfg's but they say theyre only 26.5, but thats a good thing(better fit). The shipping is kinda expensive to where i live though. All together they are only like $25 more than the 195/75/14's from tirerack.com http://www.customwheelsdirect.com/html/tires_brand/tire_detail.php?id=7830
  14. I measured 13.5 from the center of the tire to the front of the rear wheel well and u still have about a 1/4 so i believe the 27" tires would fit without the ob brackets, but the only thing im reading about and thinking my self would be the tire being taller and wider it would rub the spring perch. If not in the back probably when turning in the front. I was planning on getting some new tires with my tax return but i have a lot of stuff i have to spend that on so im waiting to see exactly how much i get before i can count my chickens. If i have enough money i will get some tires if not i will just have to save up to get them. Thats another reason why i like the grabbers, cheaper. I wish we had some pics with first gen legacys with the 27" tires. The newer gens have a bigger wheel well so we cant realy go off of that. I realy hope someone with first hand experience chimes in so we can get a forsure answer.
  15. So i was looking into the trailing arm deal and it seems the outback ones are the same size as the legacy ones. Its the trailing arm bracket that makes the difference. Also im not sure if its in this thread, i read a few, but the 27" grabbers wount fit unless u beat the wheel well. Not happenin for me. And they also lowered gass mileage consideribly. I think im gonna stick with the bfg's. Heres the link about the trailing arm deal http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93068&highlight=Outback+trailing+arms+legacy
  16. I dont think u would have to do muchif anything at all(i measured 13.5" from the center of the rim to the front of the rear wheel well and u still have about a quarter inch) just get the trailing arm from an outback. But im personally leaning toward just gettin the bfgs. Im not sure i want to mess with chancing with seeing if they will fit. The bfg's and the grabbers have pretty much the same tread design so im leanin towards the bfg's cuz the will result in a little better gas mileage easier for the engine to turn and my personal opinion bfg's make a better tire( made in us, although they are also made in mexico) and they are well known for being good dependable tires. I think the size will look good. But i would realy like to know how the grabbers would fit because they are rated for severe snow and this size of bfg's say theyre not, but what is severe snow for the tire companies and my toyo eclipse all season tires did pretty f'n good in the snow
  17. The falkes dont look verry agressive for offroading, id go with either the grabbers or bfg's
  18. I dont think you would have to worry about alignment if u just did the trailing arm right? But for the price of the grabbers and the trailing arms u could get the bfg's and u would have as much loss on the low end and probably have a little better gas mileage. Not much, but something se to consider. I would like to go with the grabbers also but those are some of the things ive been considering and the bfg's arent as wide and they also can take more weight. I do like the price of the grabbers though and they are also rated for severe snow where as the bfg's arent. Tough decision for me. I would like to know how it goes for you so keep us posted on what u do. I would realy like to know how things turn out with whichever decisions u make.
  19. I plan on getting those bfg's for my 90 legacy and they are only $129 on tirerack.com then the shipping to where im at in oregon will be another $40 for all of the tires to be shipped to me.
  20. I second the axle and the ball joint, same problem here then i replaced the ball joint and the axle at the same time and it all went away. Both of them were pretty bad in my case. If u got he tires from a place like leschwab they should check them for free i would think, wouldnt hurt.
  21. Like I said, take a midol. U still have ur g string tucked up in ur camel toe over this.. Just drop it
  22. they also say on there websites that the actuals size in inches may vary by like .3 inches bigger or smaller either way than what they claim it to be.
  23. I'm sorry if I have affended ur gender. I didn't know that u where a women, I was just using that as a figure of speech. I don't feel like I need to prove anything To u with any proof I was just giving information about something. Like I said before, I don't care if someone uses it or anything else for that matter(I don't think u have used it so don't knock somethingn u haven't tried, u hadn't even heard of it to know if it works or not, I do). I wasnt defending anything but wut u were cutting down, my father and I, like u still continue to do in every post u have posted. Stop hijacking someones thread to cut people down. And just because I use the word father means I am a child? I'm probably older and more mature than u are.. Even if u are 50 I'm probably still more mature.. I didnt start debating over sumthing pointless and start making rude comments about people until it was done to me.. I do think that I got under ur skin other wise u wouldn't have attacked. Sorry for arguing about pointless stuff on this post I know it was about trying to make ur lifters stop clicking, that's all I was trying to do in the first place. I haven't tried it on my own car but it has worked on many peoples cars that I know.
