  1. This car actually belongs to a buddy of mine. When I first started on USMB, (and still today) I'm not too good on the computer... He guessed my password, and put his car on here... It is a kicka** car, very fun and fast.
  2. Hood looks good!!
  3. Yeah, blocking my access to the wheel well area!! is all good, it's done. (I hope) You are just not happy if you're not wrenching on something hey??
  4. Well put! thanks for being the one trying to keep the peace.
  5. Thanks for the computer lessons Tom!! Looking forward to getting 5 years of pictures organized!! Anyone wondering about the new avitar, Blue van is my 68 Chevy-(250 I6) White van is my dearly departed 94 GMC Safari R.I.P.
  6. Tom (TheLoyale) and I replaced caliper today, so far so good- after a couple mile test drive, all wheels seem to be the same temperature. Big Thank You to Tom!!!
  7. My (former) Avitar before it was yellow....
  8. It's a 1986, 305, Quadrajet, got it last May. (pretty clean for a WI car) Gave it all kinds of love... plugs, wires cap, rotor, rear springs, shocks, battery,exc.... was running weird...discovered cat was plugged, cut that off and temp. fix w/flex tube. Now having issues trying to get fuel filter to let loose. What engine do you have??? Quadrajet??? Hoping mine will be a driver real soon. As soon as I can get that fuel filter off, lookin at some new exhaust. Know what size fuel line is???(at filter) Metric??? 5/8 just the tiniest bit loose, I really need to ream on it, but don't want to strip it.
  9. Alright looks like my aviar may be changing soon, anyone who wants so see the Gremlin in action, (before it was yellow) check this link! http://www.youtube.com/user/401ish?blend=3&ob=5#p/a/u/1/E2v1KnqTaCs
  10. Yeah, it's cool! Thanks for teaching me how to add "links"!!!! Now if I could just figure out how to add pics! (I tried- but no luck:confused:) I'll get it one of these days!
  11. R.I.P. Gil Scott-Heron http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGaRtqrlGy8
  12. Hate to say it, but it will probly be on my wall, next to my "beloved" GMC grill. I will try to love them both equally.... That will come in time, I'm sure.......
  13. Plannin a trip??? Maybe you need a hitchhiker?
  14. My 94 AWD Safari van w/4.3 Vortec went 226,000.!!! (I loved that van) To change rear left plug, pull LF wheel, and go through wheel well with 3 foot extension. Once you figure that out, it's quite easy!
  15. Been busy w/ other stuff, ElCamino, house, school exc..... I know the cover/guard is dumb, but when I take them off I gotta store them-You've seen my garages!!!
  16. After reading the "sticky" about interference vs. non, I think mine is non. (I've been told it's an EZ30something.) I can tell you, I bought my 01 H6 3.0 because it has a timing chain!
  17. It's just gettin tired, got over 200k. Right now, something up w/the clutch/master cyl. Spouse has favorite fix it shop right next to the pizza place, I'm kinda convinced they are hacks. (won't let me touch it, except for 1- oil change) I'd like to get an older Soob for deliveries.And/or a parts Focus, Spouse wants a brand new car!! Not happenin on my watch!!
  18. Not sure if the car was ever wrecked- before purchase searches came up clean, but if someone fixed on their own, or had a buddy fix, It wouldn't show up right? If anyone knows about proportioning valves, or ABS feel free to chime in.....
  19. I'd like to! Would feel safer w/the spouse driving that. Unless I come into a really low mi. 05 Focus wreck I could swap parts from. There is a certain attachment (not mine) to that car.
  20. They knew dude was from WI, they took his credit card no doubt, before work began. You can do whatever you want to it:grin: As long as it's o.k. to return for a core (They trust me, and aren't charging a core)
  21. Oh well- For future reference, I'm looking for a cheap dependable pizza delivery car, doesn't have to be too pretty, MUST be 5spd! Pre-1996 would be great (You know why in SE WI)
  22. Duuuu:slobber: I guess I did know that! Got a caliper ordered up, gonna pull that rotor and have it turned.
  23. Yeah..... It was o.k., spending the day with a Subaru, and a new friend I had it in my head, that hose was going---So it went. Pardon my extreme ignorance, Is there any possible way, that a heated wheel that won't turn could, even remotely, be something else?? Wheel bearing?? Again, pardon my exreme ingnorance. What is up?? If it is the caliper?? This one looks so much better than the driver side that doesn't heat up. Could there be a reason this side was bad, 2 times in 15,000 miles.? Driver side is original to the car. Something with the master?? Proportioning valves?? Just poor re-manning/fluke??
  24. You got me there! You should hear my ElCamino!
  25. So Fox- What up w/ the Legacy anyway? Is it a 5spd? What engine?
