Thanks man. Sorry bout the text grammer all I hav is my blackberry for internet right now. There is a turbo car being parted out. Was just seeing if it was worth the change. She wants to keep her automatic tranny will it still work?

I was wonderin if ne1 has done a na ea82 to a turbo ea82t. The car is a 91 loyale wit ea82 spfi. I was wantin to put a ea82t in it. I know the engin harness and ecm frm the ea82t go to be put in but wht bout the harness on the body side? Also is ther anything else I would need to change I think I read sumthin bout the cross member for the tranny cuz of the downpipe? Anything else. Thanks for all ur guys help. Thanks subi gang

Can anyone giv me sum help wit doin a ea82 to a ea82t. I mean wht will I all hav to chang? I know the engin harness and ecm but wher the ehgin harness connects to the harness on the body. Does that need changed too? Any advise will help. Thanks subi gang

I have been watchin the lift with pic and tires closely. Cuz I am wantin to do the 2" tubesteel lift on my brat and the tires im gettin are 225/70/14. Will they fit with my 2" lift and no rubing. The wheels im goin to be usin are 14" pugs. I want 27/8.5/14 but I think ill have to wait till I do a 4". thanks for all your help subi gang

Thanks guys for all ur help and imput. I like it. I was thinkin the same thing when I said that 4 cams twice as much and I wanta to this on a littler budget. I build my 07 sti damn did I spend some money. I was thinkin bout just buildin my ea81t but not sur. I was goin to build the block get cams and a td04 wrx turbo and str exhaust no cats wit a muffler and a nice tmic. But that's mor for street. I want tq to turn some 27" superswampers. No I know the turbo motor will but at higher rpms. But I'm not totally sure. Cuz I do hav a 05 dodge PowerWagon for hill climbin. So maybe a built turbo motor will be fine

I would put a ea82t in it if I could find harness and ecm. My grl wants a turbo car. The last car I got her was a talon tsi she loved the kick of the turbo lol. I never even tought to grab the crank and check that my bad.

The people we bought it from overheated it badly and more then once. Then my grl overheated it after we temp fixed it. It is so bad with bak pres that the radiator blow a hole not just a lil hole either a hole lik the length of the rad by 2" and its been cooked so much we figuar its toast. So we got a new motor frm a guy that just had one head redone milled and gasket but then blow timin belt we that we could just buy new belts tensionrs and stuff but then found that crap out. Not very happy. I didnt want to completely rebuild it. The damn thing only has 132k on it.

Ok Ive changed my mind. Im goin to build a ej25d. Im not totally sure if I want to use the dohc heads or the 2.2 sohc. I really would like to have four cams I was thinkin I could use high comp pistons and sum cams not sur yet. I do know I want the most tq monster I can have. I wanta be able to idle up mountains(U know what I mean) Any ideas will help with decisions. Im goin to be doin it rite away either. Goin to take my time. I dont mind runin permium gas at all. Im used to it frm my 07 sti I used to have. I was thinkin bout goin with 4.11 gears also but its goin to be a dd also so Id like to stick wit the 3.9's. But wit a trq monster engine it will make up for it. Thanks subi gang

Well my father n law installed the new seal. The old one just pulled rite off. The new one I watch him install it. It slid most of the way on then took a round pipe the same size as seal and tap it slowly on. But there is alot of movement in the up and down. I grabed it and it moves I would guess almost a 1/16" thats lik .125. Thats ALOT of movement. I grab the old motors crank and there is no movement what so ever up and down. Basicly I think we got screwed. But I have never seen the crank move that much. I know the oil pump was bad thats what broke the timin belt but we dont know what he did to the motor.

Well bad news. So we got the new seal in put t belts bak on and startd it. Oil was pourin out frm behind the tbelt gear on crank. Took them bak off again wiped it clean and inspected it. Couldn't see anythin wrong. Then we turnd oil pump wit drill and just a lil oil cam out betwen seal and crank shaft. So I grab the crank and wouldn't u believe the sob ****in then moves. The crank main bearins I guess r shot. We bought the motor off CL and now we r stil outta motor. :(

We got the motor in new timin belts oil pump gasket new tensioners. But started it up and the ****in front main seal is leakin. Can u change those without splitin the case???? Thanks for ur help subi gang

I was thinking out loud on this subject. I want a tq monster brat. I hav the turbo ea81t rite now but next year I was thinkin bout tryin to stuf a eg33 h6 in my brat. I hav a few weckin yards round here that hav a few engines. I don't think anyone has done it yet. So I would be uniq idk if its even possible that's why I'm thinkin out loud and was hopin a few subi nuts lik myself would chim in Thanks Subi gang

I have the cross members for the 4 speed d/r and drive line and rear end. Maybe Ill just do the 4 speed for rite now considerin I have everything for that and in the future do the 5 speed d/r. Thanks for your help

I have a 4speed d/r that I was goin to put in my turbo brat. Everyone here is sayin go with a 5 speed d/r. Do I need to change bell housin on the motor from a ea82 onto my ea81t to mount a 5 speed d/r? Also I only have the linkage from the 4 speed d/r cuz it our parts car. I would need the 5 speed transfercase linkage and lever too rite? I like the look of it better anyways. Does anyone have a lever and linkage lyin around? Thanks for every ones help.

Hello everyone, I have my first brat excited bout buildin it. First gotta get it runin LOL. But I was reading somewhere that they can be lifted 1" without anything. But I havin found how. I was thinkin I would just build me the 2" lift kit cuz that would be plenty for me. I am gettin a set of 14" pugs to put on it. I can weld and fab. I just need some good drawings or plans that you guys have done. Thanks for everyones help. Gotta love the subi community gang here.

I was wondering if anyone could help me. First ? is what is the differences in ecu's. I have a 420897110 was the difference between that and a 420897210???? Can I use a 7210? Thnx Second, Im goin to install a 4speed d/r tranny and rearend. Im goin to have the clutch rebuilt, so my question is I have a clutch out of the car rite now from a 92 loyale 5speed. Can I have that clutch rebuilt and use it? My question I guess is their a difference in clutchs in a 4speed d/r tranny and a 5 speed s/r tranny?? Thanks guys for all your help.

OK i tryed the connecter thing. And well I got power to the wire if the plug is unconnected to ecm then when I connect it, it barely lits up the tester. So I pulld ecm out and took cover off to look inside and there is one spot that looks burnd but not sure

sweet thnx guys. LOL yea ive seen that vid of brumby, its sick I have always wantd to put a sti 2.5 in a brat. My old car was a 07 wrx converted to sti all out susp, brake, motor, turbo then went bigger and then had to trade it for a truck

oh ok thnx. Mayb that was only on the ea82t motors. I cuz Ill keep it stock and just swap a ej motor in later.
