YES!! Finally found my RX(Updated with better Pics, info)
Just got back from a 3 hour round trip drive to pick up my new 88 RX. Goes to show after months of waiting and searching you will find it. 88 RX Full Time 4 Wheel, Turbo, LSD, Locking Diff, 5spd, Power Everything. Runs fantastic, needs some minor rust fixing and ding repair. Odometer says 87k, I'm positive that's not actual but odometer was reset at new engine?(Further investigation needed but who cares it's an RX, and exactly what I was looking for). Spent $840 not great but not bad either, sorry it's late better pics tomorrow guys. UPDATE: Took it in to the brother's shop for full engine inspection (compression, leak-down, etc)..Came back with spec and no problems, exactly what I wanted to hear! Seems the 87k on the engine is most likely correct. Don't get me wrong needs some work, seats need recovering, heat/air control isn't working (temp switch is stuck won't move), minor electrical gremlins, rust, and so on. But is mechanically sound. Updated my gallery with some much better pics... Driver Side Passenger Side Rear End Engine Odometer 87k? Engine maybe, car I don't think so Some of the rust

Colorado Subies?
I laugh at myself all the time so that's no problem, didn't really mean it that way, just kinda out of place. Have passed on the info to my RS and WRX driving friends, and sure I will show up. Just might be in the wife's legacy and not the DL.

Colorado Subies?
Hmm show up to a mainly WRX meet in a 88 DL sedan...that could be big laugh for everyone there. But since it's right down the street I may drop by to check em all out.

Colorado Subies?

Front End Support and how much it was needed
Yep that's right got the DL some front end support (I.E. Bra). Took awhile on ebay to find it, but was worth it. Looks good, and hides the small smash on the fender that I haven't fixed yet, bonus! Closer picture of just the bra in my gallery. The 15 year old Subaru decal (bra was new in box) actually still stuck to the bra, I'm amazed.

?? 4wd & Auto Tranny, 86 GL-10
If my research has done me any good (no guarantees) the answer is yes and yes. With virtually no problems, most everything bolts right in, but I think there is a small amount of drilling to be done to hang the rear diff(bolt holes don't exist on the 2wd cars, just the indents for them). As said above it will be a ton of parts, a 4wd dead parts car would be nice to have around for it. I have considered doing the same to my DL sedan but haven't decided if it's actually worth it. Your GL-10 on the other hand sounds like it would be. On the topic of the auto trans, yea everyone dogs them and as a driver of one (and have owned 3) they aren't the best, but do work. I find it great in my daily traffic driver, but hit the highway or mountains and I start grumbling about it. Well maintained they will last a long time, just remember no matter what anyone says..To each his/her own..nough said.

Pics from the Colorado Meet
Get to work! Would like to see an early and wet winter this year. We all know we could use it. <==Banana Snow Dance On a side note I thought Eyesore's Wag is dying for a EJ22 conversion, would just seem to fit perfect with that car.

Pics from the Colorado Meet
Just got home from the meet and thought I would throw up the pictures from it before I run my daughter off to a b-day party. Note: some pictures were taken by my 7yr old daughter. Was great to meet you all and see some real nice cars. Can check out the pictures here 2004 Colorado Subaru Meet OR On USMB's gallery Colorado Subaru Meet Whichever one works. Sure some other people got some better pics too my camera isn't the best.

Sure it will work if you take the motor out of a hatch... If you need a cap & rotor just let me know, I can pick em up from the local carquest warehouse which is right down the street and give em to ya at the meet.

Anybody Ever Bandsaw Apart An EA82T Head?
Bah! I just scrapped my cracked heads off my old GL-10 last week after sitting around for 2 years, figures that someone would come up with a use for them after I scrap em. Not a bad idea at all, sure some of the Gurus on here could come up with some ideas after doing that, and extra cooling for the turbo heads couldn't hurt at all.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Sweet another 2wd Subaru! We are getting rare you know..makes us special. Hmmm or crazy..but whatever nothing wrong with a 2wd for a daily driver. On the other hand at least you have a G instead of a D in front of the L

welded rear diff??????
Aye, it's a good idea to do some nice clean but hefty welds. Don't want them breaking or you end up with a nice piece of shredded diff, also tending to destroy housings, etc. Speaking from exprience here, did that to my first truck.

See, we DO have rust in Washington!
Yea we have rust here in Colorado too, my truck is almost worse than that nissan. Hard to see with the wife's legacy in the way but I can put my fist through that hole in the bed. Oh well just my playtime & towing truck. Wasn't nearly that bad until they started using that Mag-Chloride "No Rust" stuff on the roads instead of gravel....yea right talk to me or any mechanic it defintely causes rust.

Fender Cross-Exchange?
Ok well in my attempts to fix the small crunch on driver's side front corner of my car I just made it worse. LOL. So the question is are the fenders the same off the 88(or so) DL's as GL's? Wagons to sedans? Etc.... Just asking since I had a hell of time locating the corner light for the DL and hoping the fenders are the same at least.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Just a bump and reminder...2 weeks till the Colorado Sept. 18th meet@Red Rocks/Sonic Check the Calendar for more information.

One less Soob in the household. . .
Always sad to see one go, but at least it's coming out here and you have a another one. Who bought it and are you bringing it to the Sept 18th meet?

The Brat is undergoing work this weekend...
Aye I'm learning that lesson as we speak. Recovering my back seat, back dash, etc...materials can be cheap but the labor gets time consuming and going on 2 weeks without a back seat now..speaking of which I better get to work.
