Coming over to the "Dark Side"
DrKrazy replied to Skip's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMight sound strange but if you just use some good ol turtle wax on them and buff it off should take the foggness right off. Always has worked on wifes 94.

Ahh gotta love those Cops...
Just a quick funny story... On my way to work this morning I went through McDonalds to grab some breakfast. As I was placing my order for my bacon egg and cheese biscuit, suddenly WHAM! and I get pushed a few feet forward. Looking in the rear view mirror there is a police cruiser sitting on my rear bumper. That woke me up right away. Luckily there was no damage (except my already falling off tail pipe that decided it was time to fall). I couldn't help but to get out of the car laughing which immediately made the cop start laughing. He just left off his brake while behind me and didn't notice. After several minutes of listening to him apologize, I told him it was no big deal and not to worry about it. Just makes me have to get off my lazy rump roast and replace that muffler. Anyways thought you guys might get a kick out of that.

Power window question
Yea like he said, good info there..was not aware they were made for each door.

Power window question
I had that problem in my GL-10 before I sold it. The only thing I did was take off the door panels and lay some wheel bearing grease down in the tracks/gears and they worked perfectly. I suspect that overtime water gets in there and dries out any lubrication that was on there.

Clutch preferance?
I can't say much about the subaru Centerforce clutches, but I do have one in my truck and it's great. The only bad thing I have discovered is that the centerforce clutches seem to be WAY stiffer than any stock clutch not to mention spendy. Of course I should never have to replace the clutch in my truck again. So I guess it comes down to how much you want to spend.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Well from the responses it looks like: Sept 18th 12-1pm Red Rocks @ Top North Lot Then to the Sonic in Golden for some food! I posted it in the Calendar with the information and links to help getting there. Really looking forward to meeting the other local Subes.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Yea they turn over cars quickly so kinda doubt it's still there. If I remember correctly (prob not) it was green. But yea they will sell you whole cars from there but sometimes they are a HUGE rip off.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Excuse me I listed the name wrong, it's Colorado Auto Parts. It's off Santa Fe and Oxford. Take Santa Fe to Oxford, turn west on to Oxford, take your first left on to the frontage road and follow it around. There is a yard called Svigels and you take the right immediately after it and that skinny road leads down to Colorado. Won't make it out there today to see if that wagon is still there that's for sure. And yes it's a pull your own parts yard.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
There was a 76' (or so) wagon that looked complete at Colorado Salvage Yard (off Santa Fe), forgot to post about it up here. That was like a week ago...am saving out for the RX or XT Turbo if I find one or would've offered them cash for it. Might still be there in mostly one piece. Maybe I will make the drive with the camera today if I get a chance. On a side note I might be able to take the "Most needed Paint Job" award if I don't manage to get it done first...LOL. Maybe I should just bring the wife mobile. **Started my gallery so you guys will know my car Here **

another wheel question
Are they all in good shape? That one looks pretty good...let's hear a price if you want to sell them. Would look pretty good on my Red 88'. Also are those the wheels that take the hard to find lug nuts?

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Well like I said I only picked the hamburger stand for the heck of it. Orignally I just wanted to get together and meet few locals...seems to have gotten a tad bigger. I am game for whatever the majority wants to do We could just meet at Red Rocks and then decide where to go, I thought about that Sonic also (since I used to live right behind it) and does have the shopping mall parking lot with it too. There is several places not to far from the Rocks to grab some food, including several real restraunts/bars. I know of a good one that's fairly new and hidden away right where Colfax makes it ascent to the mountains, Scotty Dogs or Susie's Bar right across the street. Doesn't really matter to me. Good Point Shawn, wasn't thinking about the fact there will probably be other people in the top most lot, North Lot is a better idea. If we wanted to meet someplace where we would be the only ones, my work's Golden office is right on 6th & Hertiage (Across from the courthouse) and has a huge parking lot that would be totally empty. Bonus there would be the quick shoot across 6th into Golden for some food. Heck I could prob get us a VIP group tour of Coors (Since I work with Coors, not for them) if we wanted. That's really not that exciting, but I'm there a few times a week so wears on ya quick.

another wheel question
Not sure how rare they are but if they are in good condition I would probably be interested depending on price.

Give me faster wipers
After going through an incredible rain storm my 2 speed wipers just can't keep up. Were there any models that came with 3 or more speeds (and at least one that is real fast)? Or has anyone got an idea on how to wire in a speed adjuster to make it faster? Same problem on my wife's totally decked out 94' legacy too..not fast enough

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Ok Here is some more information. The best place to go look at the Map of Red Rocks and get it's address is http://www.redrocksonline.com/09_maps/09_maps.html# Figured we can meet in the "Early Bird Lot" on the map or at the top in the "Top Circle Lot". Your guys choice, just alittle more of a drive. It's beautiful everywhere in Red Rocks. Those who don't know where it is should grab the address from there and head to http://www.mapquest.com to make thing easy for you. Can even get directions from your house. Still Optional if you guys want is: The small trip to the local hamburger stand isn't long and I only picked that since that's where the hotrodders meet at (so good place to show off our subes to the hotrodders if any) and has a nice big parking lot next to it. The address for that place is: Hamburger Stand 179 1495 Holland LAKEWOOD, CO 80215 - 4735

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Aye I will be posting more details and a map asap. We just might have to take Wasteland's idea of the Rocky Mountain Roo's....just sounds too good. Thanks to Baccaruda for hooking me up with some of the last body pieces I need to actually make this DL look decent before I meet up with you all. Anyone want to come help me paint it before hand? haha yea right... Anyways more details and map coming soon, anyone that can come with anymore ideas of what to do for that day our ears are open.

why the price difference?
Nothing to worry about I have a big problem with having too many cars...and it's called the wife

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Well after looking at Red Rocks schedule of events looks like the 18th is our only possibility in Sept on a weekend. Lots of concerts going on during Sept. Figure we can meet up around 12-1pm if that's good for everyone, and just meet & greet. Maybe go for a caravan to the local Hambuger Stand (5-7 miles from Red Rocks) and fill the parking lot full of subes for some food. So.... Sept. 18th Meet & Greet around 12-1pm @ Red Rocks (parking lot to be decided) Length of event is undecided and will go as long as we want to. Possible Caravan to local fast food joint after... Enough show & we can discuss future get togethers and adventures. Changes, Objections, Thoughts all should come soon... Remember I'm not a great planner of any sorts just wanted to get together and meet some more Sube finatics.

why the price difference?
No way still trying to find myself a good XT turbo or RX, going to keep them all for myself! hahaha

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Was thinking maybe mid September? 11th or 12th, maybe 18th or 19th? But I'm only saying that cause I'm lazy and that would give me time to finish the body work and repaint my car before hand... Red Rocks was a good suggestion, or we could meet up more north if the majority that would come are that direction. For future possible wheelin' times, I used to live in Bailey and know most of the popular spots on the 285 corridor, and a few not so known ones. Would be kick rump roast to go wheelin with a group of subes.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Don't think my 2wd DL is up for any wheelin' and wife is not going to let me take her wagon. I could always bring my truck (might not be a bad idea if one of us got stuck, but does defeat the purpose of a subaru meeting). Could always leave the 2wd at the bottom and ride with you 4wd guys. We should start setting a date/place. Suggestions? P.S. All you guys keep a look out for a decent XT Turbo for sale for me, not worried about the motor, but rest of the car should be in ok condition. Always looking for one, have BIG plans for when I find the right one.

ATTN: Colorado Subes!
Red Rocks is cool, there are tons of places to meet up. Oh and Shawn I just got your phone message today, accidently left my phone in a server room at Coors and didn't find it until yesterday. Sorry I couldn't help out unloading. Glad to see people outside Colorado wanting to come down to, and I know there is a few more Co people lurking around and not posting in this thread.

One problem fixed, but now I need help with rear brakes...
Broken off bleeders are fairly easy to get out, well at least in some cases. I have gotten a few off with just a left hand drill bit, since they already have a hole through them makes it a bit easier. Worth a shot.

the distributers rotor set screw on Loyale problem
Bah the cleaning machine(wife) got to the box before I did. Just to make sure we are actually having the same problems and not exact opposite, is your rotor longer in height than the rest they have given you? by like a half inch or more? If so I will go right back to that store and ask. I love that carquest since it's actually the local warehouse for this side of town.
