how do you lock the output shafts on the frunt, in the trany that you are not using?

I just did this to my suby, I made the back pcs 4" long put the holes1" in on both ends. I bent them a little more than 45 thay fit better.

yes thay have been changed, thay are 4.111 with a speed not a d/r, I hope it well still make a good light duty off road rig.

ok yester day and this morning I made 2" lift blocks and spacers for the rear, and got them all put on. I will try to down load pitchurs,

I have a question on lift,if I build the spacers for the frunt struts 3or4 inches l do I need to off set them the 15 degres that I have read about or the longer thay are do I need more off set.

ok I have been gon from hear far to long.so an up date on thes car,i have got it running and have pot some miles on it,and I am imprest so far.but the water pump has started to drip so that will have to be fixed. I do wont to lift it but with out a hi lo trans not shure how mutch power i would loose with bigger tires.

ok so it has been some time since I have had time to work on the suby but to day I got it to start, now to tuck every thing in some ware.

this is how I feel after looking at wires,so I moved on to other stuff . I got the radiator and fans mounted,air cleaner.

ya I have I have spent some time crawling around under a legacy to day and I think you mite be right about tying it to the frunt mount some how. ben working on little things to day like power stering lines and exost. still not ready for electrical.

Ok so to day I got the shifter moded and in the next thing will be the driveline,power stering and exaust, the more I think of it the list keeps getting longer.

Well this weekend I got a crosmember built for the trans and bolted in. the next thing I am going to do is the shifter. I whould be able to take a stock lego one and make it work.

Ok so to day I jacked up the car and looked things over, It kooks like I will have to build a rear trans crosmember and a drive line, then mount the rad, and fans, then it is on to the wireing. not looking forword to that.

I dont know a lot about this car, but it was a turbo auto with 4 wheel disc brakes. the po told me he put a 92 thru 94 legacy 5 speed in. So if I under stand right with the 4.1 rear dif and the lego 5 speed that should work.

The sticker on the rear end is 4.111 or some thing. ware can I find the numbers on the trans.?

I belive this is in the paper work I found in the car, have not read it yet. but I did not see eany thing about trans and rear end.

Ok I have questions? this car has orig, rear end and alegasy motter and trans. are the gear ratios going to be the same?can some one diract me to more info on this ej swap.

OK my name is jim I live in south east Idaho,I have always wanted to build a lifted loyal wagen with a 2.2 ej in it. well I found one that has been started but not finished, it was a turbo but that moter went bad so the po started the swap but never finished,it was a auto trany but now has a 5 speed, all the origenal wiring is still in the car,and I have I think all the ecu and hornis to finish this swap.I will put pithures up and ask lots of questions befor this is dun.right now I am a happy camper, I hope I did not bite off to mutch with this project.
