Well the govoner gear was the problem and hope to have the repair done today. Thanks for all of the help guys..No to get my 98 outback wagon fixed is next. What are the chances of having 2 subarus broke down at the same time.. Must be my lack of luck..

I am just sending my 98 in for simmler problems and reading this is scareing the crap out of me. The cv joints were making noise and yesterday the front wheel drive gave out..I am sitting here hopeing for the best..

I need help with my 87 GL 10 turbo wagon.. Yesterday after work driving home the trans would not shift from 1st gear into 2nd. I had to drive home 2 miles in 2nd gear.. If I put it in drive it will not up shift to 2nd nor 3rd.. I checked the fluid level and it is fine.. Susy only has 74000 miles and has been good till now.. Any ideas would be appricated.. It is tuff being poor and your ride broke... HELP Please, Thanks, Taz

Check your vac lines on the passenger side fender. Mine did the same thing. My vac line kept comming lose so I used a zip tie and it works great..

Yes this car was on craigslist Annapolis.. There is a hole in the pipe in front of the cat. Was quoted a price from Scotti Muffler for complete system front to back out the door for $450.00. They did my system on my 87 subie gl10 turbo 4x4 wagon.

It comes with all of the repair sheets and related paper work. We will be the third owner. The person sold it to me for $500.00 because it has a hole in the exhaust pipe and the dealer told him it was about 800.00 to replace the complete exhaust system. This is our second subaru at this time. We have owned 9 subarus up to now, starting with a 79 FE 2 door coupe. We are just so happy we can`t to drive them in the snow...

Your best bet for a manual is ebay. I bought the Haynes manual for $ 5.00 new in wraper and the service manual complete set for my car for $20.00 shipped to my door. Like everyone has said you can do it yourself. I have a 87 GL 10 turbo 4x4 wagon that I keep running. Getting ready to replace the radator,new hoses, new clamps and whatever else it needs. I do not have a garage just a driveway. You never know what you can do till you try...
