  1. Interesting. If thats the case then maybe a Gen 2 brake swap with alll the stuff? Caliper,Rotor etc.... Or......would a XT6 5-lug swap be doable on a Gen 1 Subie??? Thanks ya'll
  2. Hi does anyone know what year when the Brakes changed from the Gen 1 Subie to Gen 2? You know, from the messy pins/spacers caliper set up to the more Modern set up on the Gen 2? Thanks. My guess is 81 Brat, last of the Gen 1 body & 1st of the EA81.
  3. You lucky S.O.B. Nice score! More pictures will sure make us all Jealous/Envy:banana:
  4. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?page=1&ad=8812139&nid=745#4 You decide. Tacky or Tasteful? Have fun!
  5. I was told many times I would never get dates or any Females looking my way.....it was true!....... For driving an old Junky Subie. Got rid of the old subie, got a girlfriend, got Married, had a Lovely daughter, got Divorced, Now looking for another Junky Subie Life is wonderful and full of expeirience when you have/had a Junky Subie:burnout:
  6. I fixed mine on my Old 85 Hatch with 3 small zip ties and one Wire thingy off a loaf of wonder bread and a little squirt of Electode Spray cleaner.
  7. The Owner is asking $1800. Who knows how well it runs/how well the engine was rebuilt, cant go off of looks alone.
  8. If you have a Stud Gun it could save the Hood but with that much of a damaged hood it may be prone to a Oil Can Effect, which the metal pops in and out like putting a dent in a Soda Can and popping it out, and no amount of Bondo(body filler) will fix it, it will only crack and fall off with the paint. Good rule of thumb....Bondo should never be applied no more than 1/8" when its ready for paint. Good luck. Love your Brat!
  9. t Jack up your car up enough to get your wheel off the ground, then grab your wheel(tire) with both hands, one hand 12 O'clock position on the wheel(tire) and your other hand 6 O'clock position on the wheel(tire) then a push n' pull on the wheel(one hand push & the other pull) checking for any Loose Play. Repeat again with a 9 O'clock and 3 O'clock hand on wheel position. I have replaced both Axles before and came to find out I Either had a Bad Wheel Bearing and/or a Bad Cone Washer Instead of a Bad CV Axle. Live and Learn I guess. Good Luck.
  10. Had the Gas line fixed under the Factory Warranty on my Bugeye WRX. It was free not to mention the courtesy ride to and from home.
  11. oh, i hate you. only because i envy you:grin: Nice work on the Brat.
