  1. Sounds good...anyideas on how to get the bearing out besides a bearing puller (screwdriver and hammer didn't work)
  2. well i owe my step dad 50 bucks (he covered half of it he's awesome like that) So i just gotta see what i can do around here to pay that off and then see what i can make after that..if anything i may have to nag pooparu to see if he want's to go to crooked finger
  3. not sure if i well make it my brat just fried an axle and that put a huge dent in the money i had saved so i dont if i well be making it or not
  4. Maybe in a couple years i well go to this but right now this is way to far for me to drive..it's about 300 miles away:(
  5. pulled the LF axle off today and putting the new one in tomorrow when it gets here hope that fixes my problem..i miss driving besty(yes that is what i named my brat)
  6. well pulled the axle off today have one coming tomorrow..but the axle seemed fine..and this is after we popped in 4wheel drive and made sure it wasnt the clutch or the tranny..then popped it out of 4wheel and the driver side axle made a grinding noise so idk if it's just cuz you can't twist it by hand to feel it slip or what but we well see tomorrow when i get the new one in maybe...

  8. i honestly dont rember all i know is it cost about 70 bucks from car quest with out the core charge
  9. i'll find out tomorrow when me and my step dad can look at in the daylight..but there was some clunking before this happened and i don't think it's the axle it was just replaced about 5,000 6,000 miles ago so it's basically brand new

My 81 BRAT with the ea81 and d/r tranny just broke down on me today..when i was going down the road the right front wheel started making a seroius load clunking noise that went away when i went off the gas so i pulled over and couldnt find anything wrong then when i went to pull back on the road the car started to budge then it made this really load grinding noise and the whole car shoke...any ideas???!

  13. Well it was about a month month and a half since i last checked em..and what made me notice it was when i was backing out of the drive way my foot went t the floor before my brakes did anything
  14. Meaning i didnt find it dripping anywhere..and i have disc on all four corners...and loyal when i stop for a light or anything i use the engine to slow me down as much as possible
  15. my 81 brat just went through some brake fluid and after checking all four corners and doing a run though on the brake lines i could not find a noticeable leak and when i filled the reserve i got my brakes back no prob yet im scared to take it on the road...i'm gonna bleed the brakes just to be safe but any ideas as to wth is going on?:confused::-\:-\

  17. Id talk with the owner just to get info on it it's cool to see what cars have been through..and you nvr know it could be a extremly rare brat too..like first one ever made for that gen or something
