  2. North American Intl Auto Show Photos i.... cannot stop giggling... u guys are absolutely going to love the new Legacy GT Turbo... no 2 ways about that one ! show was great, car has so many improvements/changes, i'm not even sure where to start! Visit the 2005 Legacy Homepage ...climate control, reinforced suspension, 17" wheels, dual exhausts, Limited has leather interior, heated seats, heated mirrors, turn signal in the mirrors now (hehehee cool) and tons more..... very cool stuff!!!! i've gotta stop racing so I can afford this car some of my Subaru faves: 2005 Subaru... B9 Scrambler Concept tons of other cars as well.... including the SAAB-ARU... near clone of the WRX Wagon... my fave non-subaru at the show... but this one wasnt bad.... tons of concepts too... check the pics n feel free to ask questions... Subaru has done well with this car.. it's simply amazing. Jamie http://www.subiegal.com http://www.subiegalracing.com
  3. there is no 'winning ' email sent unless you are chosen from the hat of correct answers.... if you submit a correct answer, you're entered in the contest. of all correct answers, only one name is drawn. this is how it works please let me know if there are any questions.... so far for Jan... 5 entries submitted, no correct/complete answers. Jamie http://www.subiegal.com
  4. December Answers Posted January's contest is up and running--- with a FREE GROUNDING KIT as this months prize!! good luck Jamie http://www.subiegal.com http://www.subiegalracing.com
  5. subaru thing 1st gear is just to get you going.... no need to be in first unless you're coming from a dead stop. I dont even try to get into 1st in my 01 2.5RS unless the car IS stopped... however, my WRX is much easier to shift into first since i switched to Redline heavyduty shockproof (very slippy/slimey) gear oil. you could try a synthetic gear oil... but remember that the way the car is designed, you shouldnt have to go into 1st unless at a stop. heck, i even start in 2nd occassionally and yes, does seem to get notchier over time. hope this is helpful Jamie
  6. oh 96 IMP OBK not impreza L'ISH... sorry part numbers are the same from 1996 - 2001 you'd need an RS/IMP OBK/L hood part ## from subaru is: 57220FA120 so if you can find one (and they are out there) it should work out for you. good luck sorry for not reading the original post as closely as i should have. Jamie

  11. i LOVE my Hakkapelitas... best snow tire i've ever driven on... i've had 1's and currently running on Q's... car handles great. i've previously owned Blizzaks (2nd choice) and Michelin Artic Alpins (these were okay at best) but the Hakka's leave them all to shame totally recommend them, and yes... i purchased a set of 15" steelies just for my snow tires.... must better for on / off - keeping clean and no worries of damaging my OE rims... hope this helps. Jamie
  12. sorry to hear of this... yuk... not fun. http://www.google.com for "used subaru parts' i'd offer to assist, but we cannot ship hoods as they are soooo large, the frieght would outweigh any discounts i could offer you.... 1993-1996 should fit with no issues. headlights/grills are basically same shape/form I hope this helps, good luck to you! Jamie
  13. If he doesnt any subaru place can get one for you. you cannot replace just the face, need the entire assy.... i can get you one for $38 new from subaru. hope this info is helpful! Jamie
  14. get the code pulled/read get us the code number and we can then tell ya what's going on could be too many different things. you really need the CEL code to diagnose. Jamie
  15. ahahaha well cafe veloce opens at 4pm... we want to get in there and get set up so we're planning on being there when they open. does that sound okay? hope to see some of you there! Jamie :santa:
  16. you need a thin, long, flathead screwdriver.... there are 4 clips you must push on/loosen in order to remove the grill... hard to explain... scoobymods shows a photo of what i'm talking about in this thread: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=71 hope this helps Jamie
  17. Cafe Veloce 12514 120th Ave Ne kirkland WA 425.823.1900 mapquest it http://www.mapquest.com i hope to see some of you there... remember... to participate in the gift exchange bring a subaru or car related gift value of $20 or less usually things like car cleaning/care materials, car wash, new mits, wax, or any fun subaru items you can think of... do nicely let me know if you can make it if you have a moment? jamie@subiegal.com thanks!!! :santa:
  18. Where: Cafe Veloce in Totem Lake When: Sunday - 12/21 Time: Still TBA - likely afternoon or eve gift exchange: bring an anonomyously wrapped gift with a car/subaru/motorsports theme. spending limit of $20 - no more... for every gift, a number will be issued numbers tossed into a hat everyone who brought a gift draws a number. we start with whomever drew #1 - that person chooses a gift and opens it next goes #2... that person can "steal" the gift from #1 or open a different item from the pile of gifts this continues until all numbers are drawn and all gifts handed out so come and join us for some good socializing, good italian food, and xmas fun.... it's been a hell of a year, let's celebrate! questions? contact me. thanks! cya! jamie

  20. i tend to agree... when i bought my 95 it had 110k on it. rrear cam seal rear main front mail all a gushing mess parts and patience and i got him all fixed up (with help!) pretty much the norm on an older model with high miles. hope this helps. Jamie
  21. they're just how they look. fast.. decent handling... but a bit noisy in the interior... it is afterall... a 'race' designed car... Jamie http://www.subiegal.com
  22. WELCOME to Subaru as was stated, reverse is not synchronized. the gears to not mesh most of the time. if you try R and it doesnt work go back into 1st... roll forward 1-2" and try again thus allowing the gears to line up it's one of those quirky scoob things good luck Jamie
  23. $19.95 here http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/index.jsp and you can download the entire Subaru Service manual for your car... all of the how-to's are there Jamie
