  1. Come n see rally at it's finest!! http://www.wildwestrally.com Olympia / Shelton Area - Spectator info: http://www.wildwestrally.com/03spectate.html Expect 70-80 cars.... Pro/Club and of every variety... this is the last large scale rally event of 2003 in the Northwest... you dont want to miss it!! If you've never been to a rally, now is the time to GO!!! see you there Jamie http://www.subiegalracing.com
  2. hello I work for carter subaru up north of seattle http://www.cartersubaru.com and my boyfriend Gary works for Auburn Subaru close to you http://www.auburnsubaru.com Gary is service writer there... even better! and he's a true enthusaist who races, modifies and knows these cars well. You will not get any BS from him... and as he's so close to your neck of the woods i suggest you drop by there next time you need a decent service dept hope this helps Jamie
  3. it may be time for a technician? what about the coil pack? has that been replaced? and what code - engine code - is it tossing?
  4. hey all as i stated in a recent thread... the Phase II's are starting to show up with HG issues more frequently. i work for subaru as does my other 1/2 (at 2 different dealerships) and while the #'s are not those of the phase I's... the phase II's with high (60k +) miiles... are starting to creep in with HG issues.... i hope maybe it's a few freak cases? but somehow i doubt it... best of luck to you... (and to me too... i have a phase II 2.5) cya Jamie
  5. i'm starting to see it more often on the phase II 2.5L engines as well as the Phase I looks like we're going to have head gasket issues on the Phase II as well. that is an expensive fix..... and if this is a dealer car MAKE THEM FIX IT... dont touch it until it's been repaired. fwiw? my pal has an 00 impreza with about 80k miles on it. same issue hope that doesnt happen to my 01 RS (65k miles) anytime soon!!! :-\ good luck to you Jamie
  6. on both my impreza (2001) and on my 99 Legacy I had a custom 2.5" mid pipe made at an exhaust tuner's shop.... this was cat-back - kept me emissions friendly and it only cost me $100 installed. nearly any muffler (back box) you desire can be made to fit... good luck to you Jamie
  7. K&N is a good suggestion... I'd also recommend: "better" suspension make the car handle better before making it faster Jamie
  8. ahh that he did.... and even STILL the WHEEL hubs are the same part numbers... unless he's referring to some other part specific to the drum brakes??? oh well.. i tried.. i'll help if i can... jamie
  9. not sure where to post this? move if needed Hey gang... Briefly... it's like this 1 - i'm moving 2 - i'm cleaning house BEFORE we move 3 - i have over 400 photos lying about that i either need to: --get them to their proper owners --or throw them away see: http://www.subiegal.com/rallyphotos.jpg there are many more where those came from!!! (trust me) if you've rallied/rallycrossed anytime in the past 4 years.... ESPECIALLY in the NW.... likely i have more than one photo of your car... if you want them... I'll be happy to mail em out to you **contact me for arrangements** jamie@subiegal.com We all know how patient i am... no telling how much longer i will let these lie about best get em quick gang.. or they're going in the can~!! cya @ wwest.... Jamie http://www.subiegalracing.com #215
  10. the 1998 AWD impreza (RS/OBS) was rear disc as well AS A MATTER OF FACT... the 98 impreza and 1992 Legacy have the same rear hubs... part ##26750AA014 exact... same... part number so yes, they will fit Jamie (<---i work for subaru )
  11. another happy Dent Wizards customer here!! they did an excellent job.... Jamie
  12. few questions... did you bed in the new brakes when you got them? or did you just start driving? does the shimmy only occur under braking? jamie
  13. http://www.nasioc.com has a decent legacy discussion form.... did a search... and here are the results... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=2116686&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending good luck! Jamie http://www.subiegal.com
  14. tonneau covers operate with a spring hinge inside... sometimes those go bad nothing you can do to fix it... perhaps there is a parts warranty on it??? when did you purchase the tonneau cover? Jamie
  15. thing is... 1 - you had the clutch replaced 2 - still chattered (understandable) but how long had you had the 2nd clutch installed BEFORE you went to the dealer? and how many miles took place in this time frame? *if your car was over 36k miles* then you may have gone out of parts warranty on the 2nd clutch paper trail or no.... subaru does NOT have to cover it in this case. factory clutch is covered until 36k miles parts warranty is good for 12 months from install date or xxx(gotta look it up) amount of miles so how many miles were on: 1 - the odo when you brought the car in w/the 2nd clutch 2 - on the 2nd clutch itself??? Jamie
  16. the Phase II's are going now... i know of a couple of 2.5 Phase II's that have blown HG... (one Legacy and one Impreza) i wonder if this will be the epidemic the Phase I's are/were...? nice job.. well done on the site... Jamie http://www.subiegal.com
  17. i've heard and seen the horror stories from Jiffy Lube and the likes... my dealership (that i work for) has just opened their own quick lube.. no appt needed... maybe for the on do-it-yourselfers.... this will curb some of these incidents.... who knows... but i know one thing... NEVER will my scoob go to Jiffy Lube jamie
  18. hmmm... well how many miles DO you have on the car? and... how many miles were on the replacement clutch when you took it into Subaru? Jamie
