  1. I'll be in Riverton in a few weeks for fire training. I'm in Kemmerer. This is gonna be my daily driver for my 115 mile round trip, and also my hunting and fishing rig. I take two or three long distance hunting trips a year. Otherwise I'm just beating around the Bridger-Teton mountains.
  2. Not bad to have a rad little commuter rig.
  3. I can s#!can the mudguards as they're not required in Wyoming. Hopefully I can get a little better mileage though...
  4. What kind of mileage you gettin in your big 04?
  5. I ran grabbers on my baja. I like em. So are 75's gonna rub?
  6. Anyone wanna recommend a tire for a 2" spacer lift on an 01 forester? I'm using the stock rims if I can. Thanks
  7. Skid plate ordered from primitive... Gonna have like $7500 wrapped up into an 01 forester when it's all said and done....oh well! HG will go out on a few weeks I'm sure....
  8. Rock auto saves me $30, but Amazon is free shipping.
  9. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002T08SS0/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1442937507&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=kyb+gr2+2001+forester&dpPl=1&dpID=21T%2BOCzDUeL&ref=plSrch Like these?
  10. Where is the best place to order the kyb's?
  11. Looks like ADF is adjusted for camber as well. Go with stock struts?
  12. Any differences between the two, in the way of 2" spacers? I'm wanting to lift my new 01 forester. I commute 115 miles a day, but need this thing taller Saturday/Sunday/Monday. What struts would be recommended to go in with my spacers, after I jerk the old ones out? Recommendations for a bolt on skid plate? I've had two close calls with the oil pan already...
  13. Anyone out around western Wyoming?
  14. Wanting to get with some local guys and see what works for them, and what I can incorporate into my forester.
  15. $187 for timing belt kit with pulleys and water pump on Amazon purchased. Didn't see any $120 ones...... Total repairs including wet seals, all fluids, and balanced tires is gonna be around $650. But, he's gonna get it done Thursday while I'm at work, it'll be done right, and I can do a tune up after hunting season. If football's not on. And fish aren't biting. Still haven't decided about the lift. I need new struts. At that time I'll get an alignment. Need a skid plate bad!
  16. I'm almost positive it hasn't been done. It has 42k miles. Pulleys are stock, as is the water pump. They're old. The shop in town is doing the whole shebang for $400. I'm okay with that. Does anyone have a parts# for hotbits coil overs to lift this thing? I did a search, and came up with nothing. Their website didn't show anything for lifting an 01 forester. I was gonna rock the sjr lift, but it needs new shocks anyway. Wanting to get this done before I get my alignment/balance. Any help is appreciated.
  17. I'm calling it a full service tune up. I've only talked to the shop about the timing and wheel bearings. I was just shocked at how much they cost. Of course I didn't realize it was an entire hub assembly. I'm used to going down to Napa with a few bucks in my pocket for my Ford....
  18. I bought a $5k(high book) forester for $5800. It needs timing repairs done because of its age, an alignment, wheels balanced, full service and tune up, and possibly a wheel bearing or four? Have I gone in over my head?
  19. Solved the problem. Had a blockage somewhere. All good to go now. Need to read up, and watch some vids on the TB. For the meantime, new wheel bearings, brakes, and a proper tune up/fluids will be a good start....
  20. I'm gonna check it out good tonight...then see what happens....hope I didn't make a mistake. What's a head gasket cost to replace?
