  1. It would be dangerous to paint Rocky all yellow..too much HPs...he would literally rip the pavement off the road..I had to tone him down by adding black
  2. You know..I never shared a pic of my complete fleet yet...( left to right) Rocky, Bucky and Pheebie...can you imagine the amount of combined HP if I were to paint all 3 yellow:-p
  3. Jeszek... its a joke Shannon and me have between ourselves...Its kinda like the jokes about decals add horsepower...cause people put them on for items their cars dont even have. Alot of these "ricer" kids get their cars painted yellow and add a bunch of useless things ( like wings etc) to make their cars "look" faster but in reality they arent..and like I said Shannon and me have been joking about yellow since I painted my XT6 yellow...its all in playing around:)
  4. Well you know if you were closer I would give ya a hand and vise versa:)
  5. I honestly dont think the half an ounce weight of that fitting is going to cause a fracture..I think bending the old steel line more then you have to would be more likely to cause a weak spot and future failure. Plus that steel line is run through a hole in the control arm. But to each there own..I followed know step by step directions exactly..and if no one else has had a problem:rolleyes:
  6. I made triple sure when I did the swap that nothing was hitting movine etc ..there are step by step instructions on how to do the swap ( here on the board somewhere..I printed them out and they are added to my manuals)and there is no mention of supporting the line..plus the steel line is all there was to the wheel cylinder of the old drum brakes so there is enough flex to the system to allow for the suspension travel.
  7. The oil pump in right in front..right where the oil filter attaches too. There are no dumb questions...everyone has to learn sometime. The water pump O ring I am talking about IS the one that goes in that upper tube
  8. I have the same probelm with mine..I was looking for some adjusters yesterday and didnt see anything.
  9. You may want to pull your oil pump and reseal that also..O ring and mickey mouse gasket..they like to suck an ear in. might as well do like Mike said..valve covers cam seals oil pump gasket..water pump..dont forget a new O ring on that..replace you fan belt and AC belt too..
  10. HEY! That pic was set up though!! Dont make me bring C-Toebutt out in the public now!! And what you doing up so early anyway?????
  11. Czar..if something like what happened to Vicki ..happened to Buck..I dont think I would be taking it as well as you are..I probably wouldnt be able to talk to anyone for weeks...I know how bad I was when I thought he was finished because of his wheel wells. If anything..keep at least one part of her to put into the sedan...something familiar ( if I get another EA82 wagon..I was thinking the steering wheel). She DID give you her all and we are greatful that you are here today being able to type this. OH on your other thread..I actually think you can do what you think..just swapping the tranny that way its all ready for when you add the rest of it...I think someone mentioned that to me awhile back but dont mark my words on it
  12. I usually shift my XT6 ER27 at around 3-4k ..except when I am playing with it..then its 5-6K My Loyale ( EA82 ) and my Imp (EJ18 ) both like to be in the higher RPMs between shifts so its usually around the 4500rpms for them If I am just putsin around then I shift around the 3 k mark..all the cars
  13. I dont know about the EA82s but the ER27s CTS seldom goes bad..the wireing does and there is a simple fix for it..hardwire the wires directly to the sensor..the connectors go bad and the wires get corroded .. I replaces about 8 inches of wire and soldered them directly to the CTS..then used heat shrink to hold it all together But my question is...did you have this problem before you cleaned the motor or is it only since you cleaned it? My Loyale has always had a hesitation when cold..never got better never got worse..i just alwasy know to warm it up for a minute or 2
  14. I surely didnt take any offence to any of the comments....but then again..I am about un offendable:grin: . And I didnt even realize my thong was hanging out:rolleyes: :o sowwy!!! I hate having my picture taken and Tommy is such a sneak. He always picks the worst moments...like that one..90 degrees out..dirty..sweaty..etc. OK Shannon..now get out an fix the hatch..you dont want to be shown up by a girl now do ya:grin:
  15. I had a 90 5spd FWD Justy...used it as a newspaper delivery car...motor went at 98,000..the oil pump taking out the bearing thing..but it was a good little car. For the size I liked the fact it had the 13 inch wheels instead of the 12s like other cars that size had ( Ford Festivas). That little 3 cylinder could outrun the little 4s of the festivas and it would haul more weight with less arguement ( I could fit 360 Sunday newspapers in it ). It also survived hitting a deer on the highway at 65-70 mph. The only prob I had was having that bearing go..didnt have too much trouble finding axles or a clutch ( needed when I bought it ..for $500 from a dealer ..the same dealer I bought my Loyale ) Its been a long time but I believe the gas mileage highway was into the upper 40s..all I remember I could put $5 in it and drive all week..and $10 filled the tank ..but thats when gas was something like $1.50
  16. Thanks Jeszek and Tim..you know I honestly couldnt have done it without the help of backwoodsboy and his welder...and the advise of everyone here on the board...maybe old Buck does have a few more years left in him:)
  17. I just took him out for a spin to stretch his legs ( and quiet his TOD:grin: ) and remembered why I love this car. Debating now on selling the Imp and putting the money into my wagon ( needs axles..both..some front swaybar bushings..probably ball joints and tie rod ends..and tires bad bad...discovered my shakey shakey..drivers rear rim or tire is outta round..I am leaning towards the rim since the first tire that was on there was worn the same way...inner bald 3/4 of the way around other 1/4 worn but still tread).
  18. He is finished!!! OK not really still needs alot more work but the biggie is done! As soon as I put his rear wheel back on I will take him for a spin and see if there are any new noises squeaks rattles etc. Anyway..fpr you picture whores: Drives sride outside: WOW!!! Look at those disk brakes..how did they get there? Me is all my hippo glory busted on film working on the car: Passenger side: And finally..All Done!! :
  19. But I have an Imp and a Loyale/Leone too:-p :-p
  20. Daddy I know what I want for Christmas:lol:
  21. ..OR..Buckys starting to feel better now...still have to pull the rear wheels and trim the foam and undercoat the bajeebas out of the wheel wells...but sealed up tight . I re-enforced the metal where I am bolting the seat belts back up to with fiberglass (Still no passangers will be allowed back there). I am not bothering sanding the glass down..just going to toss a coat of paint on and we should be good to toss the interior back in:grin:
  22. Lucky you!!! Thats one of my dream Subarus..that and/or a yellow Baja ( but then again..I want to have one of every Subaru). I kinda understand ya though..when I drive my Imp you can't tell have fast you are going its so smooth..yet my other 2 ( specially the Loyale) you feel like you are going fast when you are doing 40:rolleyes:
  23. I want the leone one!!..and wish i could read japanese too..they get all the cool stuff:-\
  24. I am also voting for wet ditsy..I learned years ago..when degreasing a motor ..wrap it in a plastic bag.
