  5. Hello, I have a 1982 GL wagon with a 1800 that has a leaky freeze plug under the valve cover. I'm not having much luck with the local parts guys and I hope someone here knows the size of the plug needed. Should I just try to press in the old plug or replace with a new? Thanks
  6. Hello, The car runs geat but there is water in my oil. Does this mean one or both head gaskets are blown? Is there a way of checking? If only one gasket is bad should I replace only the bad one? Could it be something else? The car doesn't seem to get hot but I haven't driven it long. The engine is a stock 1800 Thanks for looking

  11. Thanks McBrat, it is a 1800 EA81 engine. Does anyone know of a little lift kit for this wagon? Thanks
  12. Gas on the wood grain! If you have any info on this year and model please chime in. I think this is a base model 1.6? No AC, no power anything! Four speed hi/low 4x4 and the passing light works great. I would like to put a weber carb on this. Does anyone know about the jet sizes for a stock engine and is this kit on e-bay about the cheapest around? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-1976-1989-1600-1800-OHV-EA71-81-Weber-Carb-Kit-32-36-DGEV-electric-choke-/271031988014?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D2612809487299744775%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D271031988014%26 $320 I really look forward to playing and learning on this site.
  13. Hey kids, Well let me start off by saying that "The 26incher" refers to the wheel size on my old school BMX bikes. My name is Jason and I live on a rock out in the middle of the pacific ocean. Four wheel drives are almost a necessity over here. I picked up this from my neighbor and I love it. 1982 GL 4x4 brady bunch wagon! Was the wood grain a dealer option? This is a neat little car and I look forward to learning more about it... DJ fruity pebbles, MC weird beard
