  1. Cool that you moved here! If for any strange reason your up in the north suburbs, send me a PM.
  2. It was the first one i've seen in Minnesota. It was blue. This was coming back from Pine City, so it was further up north than the cities.
  3. Had the license plate 'DaBrat' on the back. Curious if its anyone on here. Seemed to be in pretty good shape for an older MN car. Matt
  4. Allright, more details on the car... Its a 2wd Auto, with non-air suspension (which is fine, as they seem to have lots of problems). I'm going to give 'er a good test drive tomorrow, and then i'll make my decision. He said $800 firm, but he also said it may need new valve cover seals if thats a huge deal or not. Matt
  5. Thanks for the link.. that has most of the info i'm looking for. Matt
  6. Yeah, I know you got an XT.. that's the one I was gonna buy! LOL.. anyways, turbo's are fun, but having an H6 would be interesting, as i've never owned or driven an H6 Suby. If those ones at Han's have good windshields, then i'm pretty sure i'm going to get this one. Thanks, Matt
  7. I have the opportunity to get an XT6 for $800. Has some rust, partially cracked windshield, but the guy said it runs/drives well. What's the specs on that engine, and is this a decent deal? I really want to get back into Subaru's after selling my GL. Thanks, Matt
  8. I'd be interested in stopping by and checking out the cars too.
  9. Hey archemitis, I want to see your er27 project in person sometime.. Maybe that will give me some inspiration to do the swap myself!
  10. I have another car, but it's my baby, and its garaged for the winter ('83 RX7). By the way, I wish I had a Brat, but I have an '85GL (which is good, because Brat's are very rare and I would hate to see one suffering). I just wish there was a big heated garage somewhere I could use to work on this thing... ugh. Matt
  11. Just a quick question... what would the transmission fluid levels have to do with the engine burning coolent? Matt
  12. No.. no bubbles in coolent or anything that would suggest a headgasket, so its probably the intake gasket. I need to find someone with a heated garage so I can work on this thing.
  13. That's a possibility, but i'm so sick of working on this car. Its so hard to get at stuff on the engine, and its the middle of winter and I have no place to work on it. I'll probably keep driving it because its my only car.
  14. My Suby i'm afraid may be on its last legs. It's starting to burn large amounts of coolent (white smoke, smells like coolent)... mainly on startup after sitting, but lately its been doing it for longer until the engine fully warms up. There isn't any coolent in oil or the other way around, but I can't think of what else it could be besides one of the headgaskets.
