  1. Hey out there, I have a 79 4x4 wagon that had the front struts replaced before I got the car with generic ones that I cannot adjust. Consequently the nose of the thing sags. What are my options for raising the front about 2" to level it out and give myself a little more ground/tire clearance? Spacers at the top of the strut? Don't want to go with spacer blocks in the coils themselves. Any lines on oem struts? I can't find any. Just would like to see if anyone has dealt with this before and how it worked out. Like to save myself a little trial and error. -Jeff .
  2. Got the radio yesterday. Will install as soon as it gets above 10 degrees! Thanks, man!
  3. Sorry, head up my butt! Jeff Cosentino 2873 Stoverstown Road Spring Grove, PA 17362 Thanks! -J
  4. So even though it's a craig, it's a bolt in without chopping up my console and it works? If possible post a pic. And it's 35 shipped? If all that's a go, get me your paypal info and we're on! -Thanks, Jeff
  5. Yeah, you're probably right. As to the 'left me hanging', I was mostly referring to the radio you had, something about shipping it out to me for 35 bucks?? I'm still interested, if you still have it. You can give me a call, I put my phone number on the other post. Thanks.
  6. RB, I think we talked before and ya kinda left me hanging...still interested in the push bar if you'd ship it out. Let me know how much to 17362, or if not interested, let me know that too. Thanks, man.
  7. RustyBrat, Thanks, but the wheels aren't a big priority, I'll just wait for the front end protector, if moosens has one.
  8. Still interested in the full width front end protector. When you dig your way to it, let me know how much with or without shipping to 17362. Also may be interested in a good straight set of wagon wheels or stock steelies. Thanks.
  9. I had one that dropped a valve seat years ago and the only replacement head I could find in a junkyard had the same crack between the valve seats. I got it for twelve bucks (the gasket cost as much!), put it on the car and drove it for another couple of years. Never had any problems with it. You may be just fine running it.
  10. Interested in the brush guard. Pic and your price shipped to 17362 if you get time. Thanks.
  11. Julianco, Tried to reply before, don't know why it didn't post. I just got a set for my '79 4wd wagon and it wasn't easy. Going thru rockauto or another parts house usually means it is a rebuild service and that seemed a little sketchy to me. These things are like hen's teeth and I waqsn't too keen on shipping mine off to get them back who knows when. I wound up geting a set through a transmission shop down in Baltimore. Jim Jennings was he name of the place. If you have a good tranny/driveline shop near you, they may have a good source to try. The bottom line is that a shop is going to have better parts resources than what is available to you or me. And if they are a good outfit, they won't skin you for getting the parts ordered in for you. At least that's what I found. Hope this helps and good luck!
  12. RustyBrat, I'll take the radio, my phone number is 717 225 6993 and my cell is 717 654 1328. Give me a call before 2100 eastern Saturday and we'll set something up. If no answer, leave a message with your number and I'll call you back. If I can get a full width front end protector, I'd rather do that, but if I can't locate one, maybe we can do that too.
  13. Rustybrat, Sounds fine, not looking for much, just something that'll work with the stock speaker. Lemme know if you feel like sticking it in a box to ship to me and what I'd owe ya. Thanks. PsychoSubath, What year Dodge Colt? And what's a heater cock, a drain valve of some kind for the heater core? Or a shut off valve? My interior is the tan color, but I can dye the things if needed. Really interested in the rear hatch 4wd emblem and also the front end protector. A road trip to get it isn't out of the question for me to save shipping costs. Let me know what you feel like parting with and what you need for it. Thanks to both of you! -Jeff
  14. OEM or aftermarket? And does it play good? If so, figure me out a price shipped to 17362. Thanks.
  15. Does anybody have any of the following for a gen 1 4wd wagon? OEM rear '4wd' mudflaps Rear hatch '4wd' emblem OEM or aftermarket used AM/FM radio ...and I know these are really reaching, but a front brush guard inner door handle bezels good heater core the little label plate that goes on the end of the four wheel drive lever Send me a list of what you have and a phone number and good time to call. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas! -Jeff
  16. Thanks. It looks like to me from my research that the inner and outer front wheel bearings are the same, and the inner and outer front wheel seals are the same part number as well. I just need to reuse the spacer. The outer bearings are a little different but I still need seals. Are the inner and ouiter rear wheel bearing seals the same? I know they are different from the fronts, but the same as each other? -Jeff
  17. Hi, new here and love what you guys are doing with the old Subies. Does anyone know where (or how) to get wheel bearings for the front and the rear of a 79 4wd wagon? I'm also looking for seals for the transaxle (axles and rear yoke) and the rearend. I think I can get axles from rock auto but need the bearings and seals to get this back on the road safely. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -Jeff in PA
