  4. Ha, now that you point it out, yeah I have seen that. Okay, cool thanks
  5. I have a 1 complete set of Gen 1 Brat bed trim for sale. Used in good condition I dont use Fleabay because of past situations. I'm not sure what to ask, I work wilderness therapy in Utah and I wont have access to my computer until July 26th. Buyer will pay shipping which will probably be costly due to the awkwardness of these. I'll go thru the offers when I'm back.
  6. I have a 79. Lot of these pics aren't showing up. Expired in photobucket?
  7. *Edit - I spelled Chevy wrong and cant seem to edit the topic title. yeesh I'm planning to put a 2" lift on my brat and have been looking for 15's I've read older Toyota ans Chevy rims are ideal. Found these but the seller is unsure of what year or even make they came off of. Has anyone ever seen this style of rim or could tell me if these are okay for hub conversions?
  8. Hey gals and guys, I have recently acquired a gen 1 high roll bar and a complete set of bed trim for gen 1 Brat. I'd like to sell to fund my brat and don't have a clue what these go for. * I have an offer on the roll bar currently but still like to see what they go for. Roll bar is in good shape. Will need a sand and paint. The bed trim is pretty good as well. The doner car had a cap on it. I have the screws and clips that came with it too. Anyone who is interested I can send pics too. Once I have ball parks I'll put them up with pictures. Thanks to everyone at USMB!
  9. Hey USMB! Its been a minute since I've been on here, I still have my 79' Brat and have just gotten it back on the road this year. I'm currently living out of state and Mom rides and takes care of it for me. Pennsylvania BRAT 4 lyph I have a question, I found a 79 parts car today and pulled a few things that I'll be selling; Roll Bar, Bed Trim and a single window sunroof. Did the 1st gen brats have a factory sunroof option? I feel like this might have been an aftermarket piece. I pulled it regardless and it was put in pretty clean so I'm just unsure. Anyone know if they had that option? Also what they might sell for?
  10. I literally jumped back in my seat with a grimace on my face....this is what I'm up against I think I need to know my limits and this is way beyond my ability. Come the end of summer I should probably just sell her to some other fanatic
  11. Oh Damn! I dont need a new cowl, its rusted in underneath the cowl area. I though maybe plug up the cowl area just in general, close the openings underneath the cowl, not sure if this affect anything with air coming in tho. I cant let this stop me!
  12. Hey Subie folks, Its been a bit since I've checked in but finally got my 79' "legally" on the road in Cooperstown, NY I scored this sweet thing in a barn not to far from where I grew up stomping through the woods in NE PA. It had 22,7xx miles on it!!! And I'm positive because the old couple that were family friends kept all the receipts in the glove box, even from the day they bought it Okay enough rant, now the problems. Other than the brakes that I've been re-doing I've come across a mouse nest under the cowl. Now I've figured out where that mysterious puddle on the floor was coming from I've gotten the cowl off and cleared the nest and found some rot that comes in right underneath the dash. Its a pretty darn hard spot to get to. Any ideas? My first thought is to plug off the cowl area, but not being a talented mechanic could this cause issues with the heater and air flow? I'm sure I can get up in there with some silicone but just a matter of time before some new holes appear, its not a pristine ride so as long as it doesn't look that bad I'm willing to try anything Sorry I always seem to have issues putting pics up on here
  13. Well for this lucky guy Christmas came early! Another member has a frame they would like to sell me and its from an 85' and mine is a 79'. Question is will it fit?? Any small miss fittings? Also like another member told me once you seem to find one others come right out of the woods.
  14. Thanks good to know, I`ll just keep my eyes open and see what happens, hopefully some pop up before next summer. Would love to have them in for then!
  15. Been awhile since I have posted, been piecing my 79 BRAT together, is in pretty good shape but needed some minor stuff. Last summer when I bought it someone actually had a pair of old jump seats sitting around and gave them to me. I know a lot of people make their own mounting frames for the jump seats, but I rarely find spare time and actually live in a different state that I garage it, so even rarer for me to get to it. Was wondering if they are to come by? And will different gen's swap?
  16. Ridiculous I dislike not having money, do you take moonshine as payment??? lol
