  1. Check cardomain.com I think I saw some for sale there or you can wait till I replace mine with chrome rims;)
  2. Only the first 30 seconds sounds weird. But I like the idea of the wrx intercooler not sure as to how you would make that fit. But if you do get that done let the board know and bring some pics;) . I wanna put an intercooler on my 91 legacy if possible.
  3. They put some sort of chemical mixture that has cow piss in it around here. It makes everything (snow rain sleet ect) freeze at lower temperatures. Its still corrosive but not nearly as bad as salt.
  4. So my dad just pulled in with the subie back from the shop. It turn out that the reason my car has been sitting in the driveway since NOVEMBER was because of a rotten ground for the fuel pump. Sounds simple but like I said the car has been sittin here for 4 months and we thought we had checked everything. So finally I got fed up with my half assed attempts to fix it and had it towed to a real mechanic. It coast a little less than 300 dollars for the tow and the work ALL JUST FOR A ROTTEN GROUND . Since the car was originally from back east the mechanic thinks that the salt they put on the roads probably ate the ground up. It was expensive rump roast hell but now I have a spare fuel pump and my Baby back. Id just like to say thanks again for all the help from everyone hear at the boar (even though everyone was way off) and that Im really starting off with a bad impression of the east side  but then again I'm happy cause i have my baby back. If any one wants a fuel pump for cheap E-mail me at AdrianFlack@verizon.net PEACE OUT
  5. yeah sound like a leak in the vacuum air intake have a similar problem with my 91 legacy cause a broken connection on the resonator
  6. Where can i get an adapter or whatever i need for the cone filter. I have a broken vacuum connection on my resonator should i try and find a fix or buy a new one or will a cone filter and adapter impact that section of the air intake
  7. I couldnt agree MORE with you mtsmiths! Dude doesnt need to get his panties in a such bunch just over one line you used!!!! Dude you need to realize this Board nor is anyother as perfectly PC as we would like it to be but as linda and many others of us now know the world can be alittle Harsh to us.
  8. To all those who gave useful suggestions thank you very much. Wasn't ever able to fix my car on my own. Had three guys come out and look at it and now I had to hirer a real mechanic to come and take my car to his shop. Gonna cost 60 bucks just to get it there and im lucky cause if i had lived outside of my town he'd want 40 cents a mile. Probably gonna cost once he finds out what's wrong with it ,but at lest it will run and ill have my baby back! Then ill need all your help to guide me on how to pimp my ride. Thanks again for all the support and suggestions.
  9. No i have no fuel pressuer tester, but the injectors aren't getting any gas what so ever. There are 12v at the connecter of the fuel pump, and the old fuel pump that I replaced for $130 still works when i hook it up directly to the battery.
  10. I'm still relatively new to USMB but have posted before. My previous post was concerning the same general problem but it never seemed to attract to many responses. I was never able to resolve this issue and therefore my car has just been sitting in the garage for the past two months. I can't take the car to a real mechanic because it wont start, don't want to have it towed because of too much snow and fears of having it get messed up in the process. Which brings me here with my question. Does the ECM have anything to do with controlling the electricity to the fuel pump? The reason I ask is that, is if any one remembers back about a month and a half ago I had a post asking about a fuel pump fuse. To make a reallllllllllly long story short, there is no fuel pump fuse just a relay, turns out it's working fine clicking like a mofo, so we turn to the fuel pump. Pulled it out and went and got a brand new one. Put it in and car still didn't run. So that's where I'm at now and have been at for the past month or so. I've been able to talk to a few people about my problems with my car and one of the suggested that the car may have a "rollover sensor" witch may be stopping the fuel pump form working. This makes sense to me because before the car was fine and it had just suddenly stop working after doing routine maintenance in which the car partially fell of one of the ramps. I have both Chilton's and Hayne's books neither of witch mention anything close to a rollover sensor and my best guess would be that the Ecu controls the fuel pump. I'm at a 100% loss at this point and have no other direction to turn and would be very grate full for any type of response at this point.
  11. I got the new fuel pump in a couple of days ago and got it installed last night. Went to turn it over and it still wouldn't start. Still no pressure in the fuel lines, so I’m thinking that maybe the battery might be on its last leg, cause it did sound as though it was getting low, so I think I'll replace it.
  12. Ok it took two days to figure out but the relay was working fine and the pump was getting 12v. Boy was digging out that F-ing relay fun:banghead: . The reason that I thought that the pump wasn’t getting 12v earlier was because I didn’t get a good ground the first time I checked. So all signs were pointing to the pump so my dad and I took it out and my dad ordered a new one. My dad also found that one of the connections on the resonator had broke off so we took apart the air cleaning assembly to get the resonator. We used Krazigule to get the parts to stick together at first and built it up with JB weld. As for the mysterious click sound that was coming from the ABS control module in the engine bay, I was just hoping that it would go away since I had to disconnect the battery to take out the fuel pump. Not sure any of this will get my car actually running again.:-\
  13. The problem with EFI is that if you need to check weather or not your getting gas to the cilinder there is no way to check and see if its getting there since its all electronicly conntrolled
  14. Yeah i know i have the boook too. Its just that i dont want to have to take out the hole dash pannel for fear of breaking the vent grille seems fragile and the fuel pump seams to be gettting power but isnt 12v is it sappose to be low voltage? i only connected the obd (the green cabels) for a moment to see what would happen but it scared the **** out of me so i turned it off and disconnected how do i get rid of the click noise now. it definatively comming from the abs control module unit in the engine bay
  15. didnt want to find the ****ing relay so I checked the pump and its getting power just not delivering the fuel. the lines were not pressurized when I disconnected from the filter but had fuel in them. also check the sparck plugs and they are all fine and sparking tuff but I never really thought that was the problem makes a clicking noise now when i flip the key to on possition, from the front right, i think it has to do with something for the breaks but not sure ej22t legacy sport seadan 2.2L 16v 1991
  16. Tried changing out all the engine ignition and Engine unit fuses last night and my dad said hes check the connects around the engine.
  17. Ok this is F-ed up. My dad and I were working on our subaru this saturday because my mom said there was something wrong with the clutch. So we go drive the car up on a couple of ramps and check under the hood too see if it was leaking hydorlic fluid, because we had seen some drips of something on our driveway. So we spend about two hours looking around and dont find anything but an oil leak. It looked like it was comming from valve cover so my dad takes his 10mm wrench and tightens down those three bolts on the left side. Thinking that we were all done we came inside to take a break and have lunch. After we were done eating we went back outside to get the car off the ramps. For some screwed up reason it wouldnt start. So we rolled it off the ramps and parked it and decieded that it would be best left for tommorrow since we were getting too pissed off and wanted to shoot the damn thing. So after a night of brain storming and reading the hayne's automotive repair manual, my dad, a friend, and me get back to working on it yesterday. First thing we did was try and start it because we had thought that mabey my dad had flooded it the day before, but it still doesnt start. Next we loosen up the bolts on the valve cover that we had tightened because my friend thought we might have tightened it so tight that the rockerarms couldnt move but that wasn't it either. So we wip out the hayne's manual and read through the trouble shooting to do what it says. First thing the manual has us check is the fule pump. The book said to stand at the back of the car with the gas cap off and ear close to listen for a "whirring sound" from the fuel pump when the key is turned. Couldnt hear anything so the very next step in the book is to check the FUEL PUMP FUSE. PROBLEM THERE IS NO FUEL PUMP FUSE OR ATLEAST THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR MY LEGACY DOESNT DOESNT TALK ABOUT ITS LOCATION NEITHER DOES THE HAYNE'S MANUAL.
