  1. I have a ‘99 legacy outback. I’m looking around for a used transmission, what years share the same trans? Only the 1st gen’s or up into the early 2000’s? Are they different in the imprezas or non outback’s?
  2. Been searching for a quick answer to this and haven’t got a definite one. I have a 1999 leg/outback with the Ej25d. It’s getting tired and I think the bottom end is going soon. Regardless I want to get a EJ22 to freshen up and have on deck ready to put into my car. I want the phase1 2.2 for reliability and ease. I’ve found a couple 93’ and 94’ motors, If I understand right those were in OBD1 cars. My question is are the engine harnesses the same as in my 99’? Will I be able to plug in and run one of these older motors? I’m aware of the other things like IM and Y-pipe the match the 2.2 heads and EGR system. I don’t mind running no EGR. thanks guys
  3. Those are the rims im looking to get, where are you located?
  4. Just looking for any info from fellow board members that may have done buisiness with either company. Or honest opinioms of what motor seems to be the best bet for reliability
  5. Honestly so would I. But at the moment i am more strapped for time than money$. And i have never even split a case on a motor, so id imagine it might be a slight learning curve my first time. But i do have 2 cores so ill keep one to take apart someday to do my own rebuild.
  6. I want to drop a fresh rebiuld into my Wagon befor winter kicks in. One way or another it will happen. But i was wondering if any of you guys have knowledge or experienced service from Enginehaus ?? Or Mark the guru?? A long block from enginehaus is 1695, and that is with shaved heads, bored cylynders, ect.. While Markthegurus long block is OEM spec and is 2000.. I want the motor to last as long as possible, of course a lot if that is up to me and maintainng it.. But my question is.. What would you do??

  8. Well I have to flip the switch to kill the motor.. so always . ..unless I crash
  9. Had my alternator die on me last night.. slapped on the alt from my EA81. Seems to be running a little better now too. Is there anything I should be weary of when running the msd and fuel pump off of 1 switch hard wired to the battery?
  10. Right on! Much appreciated
  11. What are the points that line up on the disty that you mention??
