  1. So I found what was clicking under the dash, I looked up the number and it says it's an ignition relay, tried to get a new one but every new one is layed out wrong internally, I can plug it in but the diagrams on the relay don't match up

  3. The battery is charged, the alternator is working, I tried cleaning the cap and the rotor, the starter is engaging, the spark plug wires are clean and test fine with a multi meter

  5. I haven't had a chance to listen to the fuel pump this time but I will check it tommorow
  6. The hose going into the throttle body had fuel moving but from there I have nothing and yes the clicking happened both times, I will double check to see if the timing belt is moving.
  7. So It died again today, it was just idling this time, I have no fuel and no spark after it died, it was just fine and then it died, it has the click as well, the screw on the rotor is tight, it is cranking over just not starting, I have fuel going into the throttle body when the car is cranking but it's not making it to the injector. The coil is brand new but I'm not getting spark from it either
  8. Started the car today and pulled out onto the road and I accelerate going down to between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle when my su88 gl wagon with spfi ea82 and 3at pops/backfired from the engine compartment area and died and would not restart, at the same time it developed a click click click when the car cranks from the steering column, I pulled the intake off the it does not appear to be getting g fuel but when the key is turned in the fuel pump does make noise like it is priming. Does anybody have any ideas?
  9. The fuel pressure after the filter doesn't seem very strong it will shoot out a little bit, I do not have a gauge to measure psi

  11. I've already installed a relay and the starter is almost brand new
  12. I don't know what happened but I went to start it, I cycled the key a couple times and it started up just fine
  13. Thank you loyale, I will try it either today or tomorrow
  14. My car( 1988 gl wagon with spfi ea82 and 3at) has recently developed a high idle, after driving it for a minute in gear it will idle at 1500 rpms while stopped, if I were to put it into park it will idle at 2000,after it warms up in gear it will be between 1500-1750 rpms and in park at 3000 rpms, I changed the left rear wheel cylinder and bled the brakes right before it happened, I wouldn't think it would effect it, as far as I can tell all the vacuum hoses are attached
  15. I can check the screw tomorrow but there is no fuel at all, not even to prime when I turn the key to the on position or cranking
  16. I checked them for that reason and they are just fine cranks normal

  18. Apparently my dad plugged in a set of clips on that side so I will try that and let you know
  19. My 1988 subaru gl wagon drove fine after I replaced the maf and tps with used ones, I come back an hour later and start installing the wiper mechanism and motor and everything and all of a sudden when i start the car it is really choppy, it's idling at 2000-2500 rpms and really lumpy, if you try and rev it it will choppily rev up if it doesn't drop
  20. Thank you guys, I'm not trying to fix it I'm going to replace it but I won't have the tool to remove the drum until I see my dad and I'm trying to get the part before if I can because there are two sizes available
