  5. so i took off my GF's head on her 2.2 97 Legacy to do head gaskets and noticed that one of the cylinders has scoring but not so bad you can catch it with your finger nail.the motor got pretty hot on that side, hot enough to melt the timing belt cover.do you think i should hone it or something?the head is warped after checking it with a straight edge and feeler gage.just need to get this car going as cheap as posable but want it to be reliable too.thanx!

  10. I have an 86 gl wagon that only has 155,xxx miles and runs strong.planning on swapping in an ej because I'm lifting it and want to run bigger tires.tried it before in my 94 loyale and the ea couldn't cut it.I haven't done this kind of swap but I like the challenge. And the reward will be worth it!
  11. Bought a cream puff of a subaru!86 gl wagon in perfect shape!big plans for this one.ej 22 swap and lift.
  12. Thanks crawlerdan.looking forward to making my subaru all it can be.lot of great info here!
  13. Sounds cool! I plan on putting a lift on my Subbie.I had a homemade lift on it already but the back was to high and put to much preasure on the axles.need to build a drop bracket.
  14. When I first bought the Loyale it leaked so much oil and power stearing fluid I ended up replacing the rack.them came the motor and swaped a hi lo trans in too.as of lately I just did the timing belts, fixed a leaky cam seal and water pump
  15. Since I've owned it I've changed the motor and trans to a hi lo transfer case and resently did the timing belts and water pump
