Anyone know where to find one of these? It is a Disk Brake Tool for twisting while turning to compress the piston. Thanks from Larry G.

Funny upside down but I don't have the answer, sorry. -
Ultra Grey on Oil Pump Gasket?
lrgvanman replied to Sapper 157's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I do believe it is to be assembled without a sealant but I don't think that Ultra Grey will really hurt if used sparingly. I did mine dry and seems fine as the O-rings are what really seals. -

Thanks 175eya. Another Subi owner was asking about this and I passed that info along. I received them today and they appear to be just what I need. Thanks again from Larry. -

Window Trouble with my new 1989 Subaru GL

One site that I found recommended spraying silicone spray into the tracks. A bit messy, I did and it offered a little relief but not like new. -
Those old 185/70r13s are wearing in the front and I will soon be shopping to replace them.

ea81 hydraulic lifter adjustment procedure
lrgvanman replied to andrsn's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Here is a posting you might check. There is one that compares a similiar process as used for adjusting Chevy hydraulic lifters that may work. I hope these are helpful. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/155873-ea81-valve-adjustment-issues/ -
Whats A Pitching Stopper And How Do You Adjust It
lrgvanman replied to cole098's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Thanks about the mounts. I sort of guessed them as well. About 60 mph the vibes start and then the occasional, sometimes steady, lighting begins. -
Whats A Pitching Stopper And How Do You Adjust It

Does slop in the pitching stopper have any relation to the 4WD light lighting with certain speeds while in FWD? After 60 the light lights. I hold down the Dual Range selector and the light stays out. I have an EA81 1984 GL Station Wagon 4 spd. Dual Range. The pitch stopper is a threaded rod type. UPDATE! I discovered that a "pitch stopper" adjustment stopped the 4WD lamp from coming on. The pitch of the drivetrain triggered the light switch. Problem solved. Had bad mounts; trans and motor! -
86 Subaru GL 4x4 only works in 4-Lo?
lrgvanman replied to kbmountaingrl's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Kinda sounds to me like it may not be engaging fully on the transfer case. Just a guess. I have had something similar happen with my 87 and 84. Drive straight down a non congested roadway and try shifting in motion like you would without a clutch. Those linkages seem to stiffen up sometimes. -
Thanks carfreak85. I am referring to the side lamps in the front bumper. I am aware of the turn signals in the the front of the front bumper but the lamps on the sides of the front bumper are the ones in question and it doesn't seem to make much sense for extra markers so close to existing markers, does it? I wish it was easy just to find another operable Soobi to compare to but they are way too rare here.
