  1. shaved keys, my wifes legacy was stolen from the courthouse parking lot, employee parking. the xt 6 at home was rifled but not stolen, the club is a deterent, they would steal a car w/o because its easier. the keys I have for our subys will enter and start most 91-98 subarus
  2. early legacys have a trans filter retroed by the left front valve cover, almost looks like a fuel filter, can be bought at the dealer
  3. Need help, sold my fsm with my xt. I now have a 1990 loyale wagon 4eat all wheel drive, the story goes bought wagon, rear diff blown up and cought on fire, r&r diff with used, correct ratio, drive car severe tourque bind always, even with fuse in, test all soloinds good, check tcu pinouts, tcu internal short always applying duty c soloind, r&r tcu with junkyard unit, works fine for 3 years, sold xt and manuals. Now loyale locks up tourque converter randomly, will do it cold, at idle, foot on brake, from park to reverse, nuteral to drive. Its locked up enough to kill the engine, somtimes it will work fine, no rhyme or reason. I think its electrical, changed tcu again same prob. has anybody else seen this? Was wondering if anybody has a transmission wiring diagram they could send me? Thanx
  4. a Fuel pump from a gm throttle body system will NOT work, only about 15# pressure.
  5. gm internal regulated alts are pretty good at idle, if its not quite enough the pulleys are interchangble, smaller pulley, more output at idle. I just wanted to use the flamethrower:burnout:
  6. most of the small trailers with 4 lug 8" wheels use a chev vega/ monza bolt pattern, 13"s will fit the hub.
  7. Do not use starting fluid on a gas engine!! If the engine is out of time, or it has an spark problem it can and will shatter pistons, break rods, blow out oil pans, valve covers, intake manifolds. Use carb cleaner, if the engine is going to run (bad fuel system etc) it will run on carb cleaner. I have a ball of aluminum on my shelf that used to be a piston, (starting fluid and mistimed spark) my 2cnts
  8. Bulb # 89 :headbang: same base smaller bulb, used for underdash lights on gm and markers on a lot of cars:burnout:
  9. I am not in vancouver, but I charge $150.00 per side installed for almost all cv shafts, most cars that includes the shaft, reman. A lot of shafts are becomeing avail new for $5 or $10 more due to lack of cores. if I install a new shaft there is no core. check your local parts stores, ask about new? Easy install. good luck.
  10. on ford 2.3 ltr engines we use dimes, cost 80 cents to shim a set, re ground cams are that, reground. if you specify new billets you dont have to shim them.
  11. at the trans shop we just put a big bolt, nut and washers thru it to hold it together for rollaround:burnout:
  12. Warning, do not use starting fluid on any gas engine, ether, (starting fluid), will break pistons, bend rods, blow the oil pan and or valve covers off, use carb cleaner or gas, if the engine wont fire find out whats wrong, (no spark, fuel, timing, etc) I have a shelf of parts, NG from engines that people have tried to start with ether. any car that comes into my shop with starting fluid cans in it, the starting fluid gets thrown away and the owner is warned that any engine repairs have no warranty. my 2% JR
  13. 1st thing your tought racin stock cars, keep your fingers outside the wheel. :-\
  14. your wagon's bigger than your hatch. be very carfull going downhill. :headbang: :burnout:
