Svx cooling fans
MWLoyale replied to MWLoyale's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXGot the fans to work by not using the aftermarket ones, had to take apart some belts and pulleys but the oem fans work fine with the ac pressure switch connector jumped. The oem fans pull 3 different wattage all more than the 80w that each aftermarket fan is capable of, I'm glad they fit with the aftermarket radiator.

Svx cooling fans
Hey all happy mom's day. Trying to get the svx going good and I'm having problems with my cooling fans. I wired the two wire fans with direct harness ground to the ground of the fan. The other three I merged to the power wire of the fan. This may have been a mistake, I found a diagram and one of the relays is called fan ground. I was going to use the aftermarket two wire fans but am now trying to fit the oem fans in now because I want the check engine light off. If anyone has successfully merged a two wire fan in place of a four wire fan I would like to know how you did that

93 Loyale to GL gauge cluster
👍 Hello, time to get the loyale back up n running. I'm hoping to get this stinking gl instrument cluster to plug into my loyale and it's been fun swapping wires around... I have two last wires that need to be plugged in. I believe they are for a small ecu hidden within the cluster. I removed one of the motherboards and it revealed this small ecu that isn't in my loyale cluster. If anyone has any information on the wires coming out the back I would be lucky to see what you know. I will post pictures to hopefully clear up any confusion in the description.

What kind of taillights are these? There isnt any overlay, the tint appears really well done or original. Are the jdm or regular ol wrx tail lights? Two part numbers, both koito 220-20915 and 220-20917- Junkyard GLs
I will check when i go next, both wagons- Junkyard GLs
I think one has auto windows, both have manual seat belts.- Junkyard GLs
There are two 86 gl wagons in the local u pull and i wanted to see if anyone wants me to get parts. One wagon seems older and has a different dash than most 3rd gens ive seen with the light and wiper switch on the dash iirc. One dr pt 4wd left and both engines (ea82 carbed). Interior pieces, engine pieces, let me know. PM me for more details. Thanks, Devin- Aisin Japan or Aisin S.Korea
MWLoyale replied to Mitchy's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXOrdered an aisin kit a month ago, everything including the gasket was up to oem spec. The mitsuboshi bbelt was made in thailand.... are they japan or thailand usually?- Oversized Pistons
MWLoyale replied to MWLoyale's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThanks, i also found those earlier today while browsing. I saw that the sti rings are indeed a different thickness and wouldnt be compatible.- Oversized Pistons
MWLoyale replied to MWLoyale's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWill rings from a newer 2.5 work? Because its kind of difficult to find rings specific to the 97-99 ej25. Ex. Rings for an sti or baja or something similar.- Oversized Pistons
MWLoyale replied to MWLoyale's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXOkay what is a good brand for rings?- Oversized Pistons
What is a good set of oversized pistons and rings to get for an ej25d from a 1999 legacy? .020 Thanks- AWD Transmission Swap
Im not too familiar with differentials or these early fulltime 4wd sube transmissions Do you mean swap the ring gear and stub shafts in the transmission? And does dodgy mean unreliable? Or weak? Side note: i know next to nothing about this full time 4wd transmission, where can i find good info on it?- AWD Transmission Swap

What are the necessary bits to swap an awd transmission from a 1988 gl coupe into my 1993 loyale? Has anyone ever done this? Thanks - Gd Taillights
