  1. I was just considering removing mine. Just wanted second opinions so that i dont remove a working part.
  2. Ok, for the last 3 months approx. my temperature has been rising to "fan level", meaning, to the point of when the fans would turn on.. Odd thing is, its been doing it while im driving.. Last week or so, when i first drive my car after it warms up, the temp will goto "fan level", fans will kick on, temp comes down, temp goes back up, fans go back on, then everything seems to be normal.. So, with that said, do i maybe have a t-stat going out?

  4. take a 10mm and 12mm endwrenches to the end of the clutch cable on the trans side... there should be about 1/4" of play.

  6. 87 usually does fine, otherwise your vacuum advance might not be workin correctly
  7. It'd be about the biggest overhaul i could think of..
  8. its the ea82 spfi... And buying a 2000$ motor would cover all the gaskets, plus i would start out with 0 miles.... ZERO!

  10. Must be a carbed equipped car... if its intermittent, its probably not a vacuum leak.. those're pretty consistent
  11. Thing is, it shows signs of an engine thats around 200k... its already bleeding antifreeze everywhere like ive blown a head gasket.. Not sure how this motor was treated previous to me owning it ya know?
  12. I know people that've gone 100,000 miles on a broken speedo, nah, just kiddin... just run with the flow until you get it fixed

  14. I just did bearings and picked up about 15 mph on the highway LOL!
  15. How did that work for HP? did you run a different sized pipe?
  16. Turbocharged an EA82 SPFI? What would be needed to get around turbo heads? Coolant hookup? Oil lines? Wastegate controls? Anything im missing? Thanks

  18. This is true, TOD (ok, TOL) has just been a normal thing for me even at 125k.. Considering a new motor because of it though :-\
  19. Bought a brand new EA82 for their wagon? I'm debating on weather or not the 2000$ is worth the "freshness" of a new engine.. Help me out here.. BTW: I have a pretty decent milage motor (128k)
