Can't find the weight in owners manual and internet says anywhere from 2300 to 2900lbs. What other cars are as fun to drive as the xt? Its a blast even with the auto when you learn how to work it well.

is the shift linkage the same? cant you take the pedal boxes and cut them to fit if they are too big? I would trade for a 2 door impreza.......

Want to swap a 5 spd manual in my 88 xt6 4spd fwd, where can I find a good guide because the xt6 website dont work. what 5sp trannys can I swap in and what parts would I need? Does anybody sell a complete kit? What's the market price for trans? Did some research and its just the pedals, clutch, trans and connections wired differently with some misc parts. Also my belt squeaks when I start it up I'm guessing needs a new belt and tensioner tightened? It's the most fun car I've driven what's other cars are as much fun?

ill sell you my 88 xt6 fwd auto for $4500

One sparkug was shot and new plugs wires and rotor and cleaning cap connections makes it run much better. Now i feel better revving it higher. Back plugs by firewall have like no room to put your hands so it took longer.

Want a cheap exhaust for a xt6 but don't know what's out there. What do you have and how does it sound?

was running perfect but then a couple days ago it had like no power at all i had to get it to rev to 4k to get the normal power at 2500rpm and i havent driven it again, theres no lights on the dash which is weird

no lights on the dash, new oil, fuel air filter, lines look good, ill get spark plugs dist cap and rotor, thermostat, and possibly a new coolant temp sensor(where is it?), throttle body and mass airflow sensor cleaner proper way to check timing?

sparkplugs are good, timing belts look new no cracks but dont know how to check timing.. fuel came out when i changed the fuel filter ill get those parts

88xt6 has almost stalled at stops several times and only getting like 14 mpg. Today it has lost power only getting power in like 4k range. Had my grandfather look it over and he thinks its the ignition points on the distributor. where can i find the right part? No vacuum lines seem to be off or lost. There is a tick but it does go away after a bit.

I changed the fuel filter ill see the fuel economy when I take the miles divided by gallons used.

Where would that be?

Filled up and got 15mpg according to the trip meter. Does this sound right for the mpg? It's a fwd so I'm guessing it would be around 25 but I only drive it in the city with stop and go with some freeway.

Where can I get a center cap because I can't find a cap on ebay that's silver with black text. I'm assuming it has to be an xt6 center cap because the wheels are different for all the other models?

it was* on all the time because I had both green and black plugs both connected together. that's most likely my issue I haven't driven it yet and will reset the codes then drive it more.

my engine light is on and it runs perfectly fine but the light is on. how do you read it or make the light flash to tell you whats wrong? i have 160k miles on my axcles they are oem. so i just refresh with new boots and grease anything else? but do i have to replace any joints? i found oem stuff on the subaru website. when you dissasemble do the axles slide out or do you have to go in to the diffrential? i am new to cv things.
