  1. Man your car has changed soooo much its rediculsit looks a hundred times better now:headbang::headbang: i reckon tou would have close to doubled the resale value:clap::clap:
  2. I do belive that with standard subaru water pump and t/stat and housing it is impossible to put in backwards, i have never been able to in 3 yrs of working at a dealership
  3. yea tru the shafts would have to be on a fair angle foward to met up with the hub, hmmmmm
  4. Hay man i know this is an old thread but if it was going to be a rally car you could move the motor back through the fire wall with out much difficulty, but geting it engineered will be a *************** for rwc, but you would have a bit better weight distribution for that heavy motor
  5. if your worried about niose and (swearing filters own me) you could spray the floor with that spray on ute tray liner and use it to seal the floor to stop water coming in and to act as sound deadining just a thought
  6. why not just cut some off the tie rods and cut some more thread onto them rather than cut and weld the rod ends??
  7. Cheers man, if i could have that cluster and the switches it would be greatly preicated, i broke mine cos i was lazy when i pulled them out , im currently in Townsville but ill be in sydney in two weeks for about 2 maybe 3 weeks so if freight will be cheaper i could pick them up form my uncles place in sydney, let me know how much you want for them if i can have them, Cheers, ian
  8. Hay man good to see you have your beast running, cant wait till i get mine done. few questions tho, would it be possible to make it into a non return system like the new mazda 6 and 3's it would save all the mucking around with the return lines etc. also what made you go with just the engine loom and not the entire front loom out of the liberty and use the instrumen cluster and steering colloum and switches for the lights and wipers? also why go with the vacume solinoid to switch the centre diff lock? why not hook the cable to the original 4wd lever to enguage the difflock instead of 4wd hi range and then when you pull it up again it selects low range? Also since you went with just cutting the loom, what are you doing with the liberty instrument cluster and wiper/indicator switches? would you be willing to sell them? cheers, ian
  9. Your joken, a dead starter? how bads the rust? im now jelous i want a targa brat sooo bad
  10. Dont know about a proper name but everyone just calls them a hatch cos thats what they are. that one is lifted and i do believe they are standard with an ea 81 and 5sp single range fwd trans. living in australia and never having seen one of these in real life i cant be positive. That particular vehicle belongs to the subaru junky former member.
  11. That is an MY two door hatch
