  1. Hey... I also moved out here from Cleveland OHIO. but Do I REALLY need to say more.... its Cleveland. I will always be a Browns Fan, but Washington is Amazing!!! The people kept me out here. You guys are awesome!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM&feature=related
  2. I just did this my self.. I got all the stuff at Lowes to do the job. I took off the A/C compressor, disassembled the mounts from the unit... then used a piece square stock in place of the compressor body. used longer bolts to pass through the square stock......went to the napa about a dozen times to get the right belt... and I was done. I was a little worried about flex.. but I put a flat washer on the top and bottom of the square stock and tightened it ALOT!!!.. seems to be working well... GOOD LUCK [/ATTACH]
  3. Yea.. I have a 92 Loyale also. I have done so many things to the car (including cylinder heads) and the Temp gauge still sits on the bottom of the scale. I will even have the electric fan kick on at stop lights but the gauge is still on "C" I just Don't worry about it anymore. and for the CEL... you have to have a manual.. but it says that the plug in connections (for the base timing mode, and to access the stored ETC's) are under the dash... Mine are under the hood behind the fuel filter that you don't have, against the firewall. they are Green and Grey (or beige...or something) . Then you can see the blinking light of the ECM under the steering column and above the plastic kick panel. You dont have to take the kick panel off.. just look between them... Count your blinks and put a piece of electrical tape over the CEL. I have a bad VSS.(vehicle speed sensor) that I really dont care about... ENJOY
  4. ok... so here is what I have done. I was woking on my buddies 98 forester MT, with a newer crate motor from japan, and it was having the exact problems that you were explaining. (and by the way.. you explained it well for such a undescribable "jerking") the haynes manual pointed my to testing the TPS. although it only told me how to test a 4prong not a 3. but I know that most TPS's use about .5v at idle and 4.6-4.9v at WOT. so all I did was loosen the TPS and adjust it to the point I thought was right and it fixed the problem. well.. actually I adjusted it the wrong way at first and stopped while going down the road and re-adjusted it and BAM!!! No issues.. and the shifting all together was improved without the "JERK". so, I hope that this may help people and point them in the right direction. although all the other things should be checked first.. ie, fuel filter, fuel pressure, quality of spark, motor & tranny mounts,etc.... but this was my fix.. ROCK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. that would be cool man.. reciently I painted the bottom half of the car black and I just got the $ to get some new skins...... I will let you know
  6. ok there it is.... I think I am swimming in water I fell into ...
  7. ok then I quit!!!!! for some reason I can't do all think liking thing and pic thing well. I fixed the link thing .wow, I guess I pretty much defined MORON!!!! sorry every one I am not ready to "PLAY WITH THE BIG DOGS" I will stick to fixing my soob.
  8. please refer to the other post for more info on pictures http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=79954
  9. so here is the lift that I have had done for the past few months. This is a lift from HiRise in Aus. I have to say that it went together well with only a few minor headaches... The next deal is to make some tube bumpers install a wench, and get some tires... these are almost bald. and here is my Dual range tranny swap anyone have any ideas how to fix the LACK of articulation??? it seems that when ever I hit anything sideways I pull a wheel (or 2) off the ground and tear a cv boot. (that is about as fun as listening to Prince 24hrs a day) other than that I think I am ready to try the trails.... anyone want to go????
  10. hey hey hey.. well I used the lift from Hi Rise to lift my loyale. it was a good kit with the exception about how long it took to get the kit. It was like months. when it came it had all the pieces parts... ie, steering extention and all the bolts. the hard part was making sure I had all the blocks in the correct places.. but it worked well. it took me and a buddy about 10hrs to do. but I did a tranny also. I put in a dual range. the kit seems to be holding up good too.. all that I see is that when I free wheel one of the front tires (on a cliff or big hill) Its almost automatic that I will tear a CV boot either @ the wheel or tranny. if you have any other ??? on the Hi rise.. let me know. I have been putting together the series of events I went thru to get'r' done and I plan on posting it here when its finished. ROCK OUT!!!!
  11. I dont know if anyone has done any tire shopping lately.. but the selection sucks for 14" rims. Does any one have any recomendations on a good tire that is budget friendly?? I have done some searching and it looks that the LIB's from Walmart are completely unavailable. and mud terrain are out of the question for highway use. I have lifted my loyale cut the fenders and put in an ea82 duel range tranny so I know I can fit a 27 or 28 but it looks like I have to go metric radial... BARF!!!! this is my daily driver but I still want to hit the trails and not but "up the creek" any great ideas would be great without getting 15" wheels. I am so frustrated with this whole tire thing because it looks like I cant get what I am looking for without spending $1000 that I dont have.
  12. well, This weekend I am going to be tackling the project, nicknamed THE PROJECT, on my loyale wagon. I am going to be putting a 3" lift on it and also installing a D/R. My question is... is there anything I need to know right off hand to make the installation of the 1986 EA-82 D/R to the Loyale body easier? I assume the mounts are all the same and I know the starter is in the same spot... This will be my first tranny swap and I am not sure if there is anything "special" I should know thanks ROCK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. YO!! I dont have alot to say here because I was never a member (YET??) But I will tell you what I think anyways.. ha ha ha All of us subaru people have an issue in our brain. for some reason we all LOVE SUBARU'S... But you cant dis' Yota's or anything for that matter.. you know that it takes cash and work to get anything out on the trails. The way I see it.. you are out on the trails... its a whole lot better than staying on the concrete!!! ROCK your Toyota... I'll Rock my Loyale... and if someone hooks up a Ford Festiva with 8" lift locked 4x4 (with ULTRA LOW GEAR 1:1 ratio) rolling 38" mickythompson rock rollers. Bring it... SEE YOU ON THE TRAILS. ROCK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. OK OK OK>.. the Kit came thru!!!! I have it here in my house. So..... I guess I am lifting my house 3". SOON SOON... my little wagon will be on the street So I take back all the things that I said... I will admit, that it was a little long of a wait but... I guess I didnt get scammed out of 500 bucks. Freakin SWEET!!!
  15. I have talked to him over there..... well only thru email. He seems like a good guy and honest when I talk to him but... I still dont have a kit. I guess I am posting this just to defuse my frustrations:Flame: :-\ does anyone know when PK is going to have his stuff ready?
