    got distracted...

Yes I have to give the idea credit to my bro. now I'm distracted playing computer games and still not got that bull bar on.
  3. I was going to put my bull bar on this morning but got distacted after I noticed it could really do with some extra lights, here is how things went. bull bar from VK holden centre support Using stock lights from our other wagon both fixed in, with alloy spacers and tek screws. cut the grill with a dremel tool all wired up, and still the bull bar is lying on the ground waiting to be fixed up in place... no wonder I don't get things done :/
  4. I would suggest silicone grease in you plug lead ends and around the dizzy seal, also you can use a thin disposable rubber glove (the type the doctors use) and put small holes in the ends of the fingers and poke your leads through then put the wrist part of the glove over your dizzy so that the dizz cap and lead are all protected, then hold it on with a rubber band or something... Cheers

    Do the Wave.....

That was one nice looking brumby.... Now it just looks like its used correctly
  6. Looks great! A real inspiration I must go buy a welder and a pipe bender now, plans are forming in my head
  7. So what sort of nissan are we talking about to get a good tcase off of? I too have a wagon that could do with some major lift. I'm guessing that the tcase hooks up right behind the gear box where the prop/tail shaft normally goes, then you would have to make custom propshafts for the front and back drive, right?
  8. I was kinda hoping someone could answer my question before I got to pulling the car/s to pieces. And the lift will be made with 2" (50mm) square bar (solid) aluminium, so it just means most of the bolts need to be 2" longer. I have figered how many bolts and blocks I need for the MY car, but the L looks to be a bit harder, will prolly have to use those jackstands! If someone could tell me what bolts are needed and maybe evens where they go, it would save me heaps of time. Thanks.
  9. I need to know what size bolts we will need to lift my mates 86 wagon and my 83 wagon. I've been searching and can't find much useful stuff. I need: lengths Diameter and amount. Cheers, Roger
  10. Thanks, I'll ask them (Saker) about them. I was really after the assembly that connects to the back/side of the gearbox, but that picture makes the gear nob part look really easy to make. thanks again, would be nice to know how long the converted AWD box from end to end.
  11. Hey, got any plans/ideas for the gear shifter assembly? I can't fully see the ones in that guys pictures too well.
  12. AWESOME info guys... My dreams will become reality!!! those shots of the 5speed manual subi box will realy help
  13. Thank you very much! I had sooooo much trouble finding any info on the SOHC, so I thought I would ask, and I recieved I have a feeling I could get a DOHC one in but not sure which way to go, any thoughts??? Regards, Roger
  14. Okay also looking for the widths of the SOHC engines (EJ20, EJ22, EJ25) and lengths if possible, from front most part to flywheel housing. Anyone got one they could spend a couple of minutes messuring???
  15. EJ20G EJ20H EJ20R EJ20K EJ22 I found this but has no years/models LINK Also which ones are twin cam, on the page they say they all have 4 valves per cylinder?? please note I'm in Australia, so some models might be different.
  16. Hi, I havn't done any work on it so far but I know I want the 5 speed manual box from a mid 90s liberty with an ej22 or ej20 preferably with a turbo or two. I will hopeful be using a water to air intercooler with an extra radiator in the front. What led me to choose the X1/9, well I have one! its a 1300 4sp with too many miles on the clock and things are starting to wrong, so I decided its time to think of a good transplant. I've seen V6 x1/9s and V8s and heaps of superchaged or turbo chaged 2lt lancia powered ones but not yet seen a flat four one. I thought it would be a good option moving the engine foward just a little and using a light engine like the ej (much lighter than a 2lt twin cam lancia), and I've always loved the sound of the subi flat 4 anyways have a good one, Roger.
  17. Hi, fisrt post Can any one give me some dimensions of a 2WD 5 speed manual gearbox from a pre 95 liberty? the most important ones right now are total length and width of gear housing. Its for my EJ22 Fiat X1/9 project
