  1. well actually I was talking about converting the motor from auto to five speed... because its going into a different car...
  2. Ok, I'm buying a parts car... its a turbo gl-10 Auto,... good motor... bad diff, it was on craigslist.... The Question is how hard to convert to five speed... just bolt it together? the next Q. Who wants to help me for a decent green Wagon body? minus engine and some other parts minor parts..? Cause I'm gonna need the body gone... I also need some help with getting an old car out of my front yard.. its in pieces.. but need to get it gone... I'll load in back of pickup truck.. if you want to take it in for Cash? also you can have my old motor... All it needs is a new head... as far as I can tell... BTW looks like I got to be in Colorado in 2 weeks... Someone help! I NEED TO HAVE ALL MY CARS EXCEPT SUBARU GONE! HELP.   3. Yep, I know that one two well... Oil light means BAD JUJU!! PUT OIL IN ME NOW!! (That Reminds me My new MERC Has the oil light on (Oh Well) Keep on Chugging.)
  4. I've been wanting to do that as well, What about that color changing paint that you see in shucks and stuff do you think that would hold up, and yes my xt has wagon wheels

  6. um drain the gas. New oil, and crank it with no gas, to build up oil pressure... In my opinion, coolant (unless Empty) should be fine. plugs wires. battery DEFINATE!, cap rotor. and it should run ok... check the fluid in the Transmision and anywere else.. also See if it rolls freely, I had one car that had sat for two years and the calipers stuck -x

  8. What do they Charge, and is there any garentee (I can't spell) that it isn't going to be blown? I am having one hell of a time with my reseal... and I need something that I could just drop in with minimal Motor problems ($$ is tight.) and also can they pull, possible do a compression test>?

  10. do any of the paps have an ea82t? I'm in desperate need of a new motor/Used motor that I can throw in with out to much trouble, does anyone know of a motor at a pap?
  11. how do I tap it? helicoil is to much for my budget now... just get a self tapping bolt?
  12. Now that I have your Attention... I was working on my XT and Apperently the one of the tensinior bolts has stripped... it won't titen down... So I pulled it out.. and the thread came with it... litteraly the thread was in it I was able to unscrew the thread with the bolt in my hand. it looked like a little spring... so what are my options... Helicoil or what? bigger bolt? make it fit? -x

  14. My dad has a micra,,, WHy the he!! would you want to do that to it... there pos. I mean to each his own.. but why... all the effort?

I have no power when going up hills I am also hearing a loud clicking noise on the drivers side. possible coil? bad timing whats up.... also when I try to staRT it takes a few turns and some gas... is my disty screwed.. I followed instructions.. or my coil.. it seems to have a slight miss while ideling./.
  16. weelll now aparently I have stripped one of the tensinor dealys.. as in the thread was actually in the bolt.. so It won't go down tight...but I torqed the otherone and it seams to be stayin..
  17. Well, found out what my timing problem was.... You know spin the dr side belt around... and then throw the passenger side on, Well I thought well if one was down and the other up it would work ok... then I couldn't figure my timing problem out... well I followed the instructions.. it works great now other than I maybe forgot to tighten a bolt and the t-belt came loose.. WARNING NOOB WITH A WRENCH! -x
  18. Found two leaks, intake was loose.. just a little... and the PITA HOSE IS LOOSE>>
  19. I got my car all back together and it seems to be doing ok, I.E. not blowing smoke. not mixing oil with water... but I am still overheating... possible turbo?... or bad radiator? I don't know what to do.. (just water in RAD as coolant is spendy and I don't want to waste it if something is bad... what happens is it will be fine for a while and then under stress it seems to evaporate water, as no White smoke. no milkshake,,,, I don't get it...) someone anyone got any IDEAS? I was going to take it to bryans Subaru repair but don't have the cash... also I can't get it to Idle Right for the life of me... sometimes it will idle at 800 sometims 500 others 1200 I don't understand it...Idle air control valve? I heard that somewere? Any way if someone has a parts vehicle I might be interested..   20. Edrach, I was wondering if there was an ea82t up there? I think I am in need of a new motor, and or parts motor, mine is running but not comming together, Cant get it to idle, and it likes to heat up, Maybe Radiator leak or something, since you seem to know the place pretty well I thought I would ask you.. -x
  21. I finally got the old XT RUNNING@! with a little help from~! XSNRG, and Monster Auto Wrecking, Suberdave BTW: there is a gen one wagon at MONSTER that is for sale! Call them if interested say someone on the USMB TOLD U.. but.. as I am poor... I need some help. getting it tuned and figureing out some of the little bugs so if anyone SMART wants to help... I can pay a little bit.. but cant afford the Shop Rates.. -xoomer
  22. Putting my subie back together.... Correct Torqueing Standards... for the HGS, I have heard a couple of different things... I will leave my comp on... but I have to get this thing going by morning.... so I will be in the garage... If you know Call me? 206.427.2645 got lots of stuff to do....
  23. I'm planning on making a short run from seattle, to 12th and oak in Vancouver BC, I hoping there are some board members along the way if I run into any problems.... Xoomer
