I had a similar problem on one of my k cars. everytime I would do pads. (quite frequently) I would put both bolts back in place and snug them down properly per my Manual.. the top bolt would back itself back out and drop on the road somewere.. I would go looking and find it and stick it back in place.. go home and put it back in and it wouldn't fall out again (atleast until I put new pads back on this thing) then it would do it once and I'd put the bolt back in and it wouldn't do again..

Alright thats Scary.. I didn't realize that many people knew I was headed that way... that and I took it off my signitare... Suberdave.. The problem is I have a very short period of time... I'm kinda set on getting my XT to go to Colorado... but if I have to I am going to throw a tranny in my wagon and be done... Sell the XT and BE on my way... Plus I'm short a head or two... my heads are cracked on the XT Block... got her to hot...

See GM Mentality isn't all that bad?!?!? Did I just say that??? I paid 22K for an 03 Cavalier that had constant Brake Problems... and A Clutch that burned out at 21k and they (Dealership) wanted $3200 to fix!! And they hadn't released the clutch to any parts store. yet, As it wasn't even a year old at this point... I told the dealership to keep it! I later found out that it was sold at auction for 11k and rolled two weeks later... into a pond for that matter... Cheers.. to gm.. for crappy cars...

Ok, I'm new to all this stuff myself... BUT. I'm pretty sure the Trans and Axles are the same. I believe that the only difference is The exhaust stuff. and the Crossmember? but what do I know. But why not just fix the the turbo car... and sell your old one? xoomer

its a N/A Motor, can I just drill the holes for the oil passages? to make it a turbo and what would it run like? Because I'm fixing my wagon... (I bought it for Parts and decided it was to nice to kill) Its 87 gl-10 the interior is buetiful.. (SP) and its only a tranny... I'm just hoping it the tranny from a 85 sedan will work... if not then it will most likely become parts... any Ideas? or how hard would it be to convert my XT to NA or the the wagon to NA? just a Question? The wagon would probably be better to convert.... to NA What would I have to do? just get a different Exhaust? -x

Anyone got a hoist I can borrow?? I am in need of a hoist for an evening or so, or if you could use it I may have a motor in trade of being so generous with a hoist..
