I weighed four flywheels, I think the three non XT-6 are all off turbo cars but I'm not sure. I would be interested to know for sure if N/A and turbo flywheels are the same weight.

Not as much difference as I was hoping for. Roughly 2.4 lbs...I may need to machine one for weight reduction.

 

I'm going to use this on a Rally Cross/Club Rally car. Anybody with experience with lightend flywheels, please give me your opinion on ideal weight.

He lightened a flywheel for my friends 98 RS (not sure how much, thats why I say to ask Sean)

I have an EA82 flywheel that was lightened to 17lbs. The weight was removed from the engine side of the flywheel. I can shoot you a pic or you can come check it out.

I'm curious about why you want a lightened flywheel. If it is a road car I can see why, because the lightened flywheel allows you to rev the engine quicker. But if you are off roading the car, then you would want a heavier flywheel to keep the rotating engery higher.
