October 24, 200916 yr I'm looking for some coil springs for my 94 loyale 4wd (drivers front) and can't seem to find anywhere that sold them. I've been looking for new ones, since most junkyards in my area are closed saturday and sunday. Is there any other springs, or cars that have the same/similar spring? Or somewhere that will have the spring I need?
October 24, 200916 yr Author In my local classifieds there is a part out of a 94 legacy, are those springs the same?
October 25, 200916 yr Are the struts shot, or did you break the spring itself? Any parts house should be able to get struts for that car.
October 25, 200916 yr Author Are the struts shot, or did you break the spring itself? Any parts house should be able to get struts for that car. The springs have been cut, and I want to put it back to normal height. A lot of the parts stores said they couldn't even get it.
October 25, 200916 yr Author I found an 88 turbo wagon locally, would a spring from this be the same?
October 25, 200916 yr The legacy is probably completely different -- it's a much heavier car than the Loyale. Any spring from an '85 and up EA82 4wd (and maybe 2wd ones?) should be the same though. The 88 turbo wagon would qualify Where are you located? Z
October 25, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the info. Im hoping that the ones from the "88 turbo wagon" are the same. Can anyone confirm for sure?
October 25, 200916 yr Turbo's are typically different. They would fit for sure, but the ride height and/or stiffness may be affected. GD
October 25, 200916 yr Author Turbo's are typically different. They would fit for sure, but the ride height and/or stiffness may be affected. GD Ohh, i was told it has air shocks. But those also have a spring on them, I was just wondering if anyone has the dimensions/sizes of a turbo gl front spring?
October 25, 200916 yr If it has air suspension then it's not a good candidate I don't think. I would look for a non-turbo without the air suspension if you are looking for used springs. GD
October 25, 200916 yr Author That's what I thought. But out of curiosity, how does the air suspension work? Is it automatic? or is it a manual external fill? can the air struts go into a loyale knuckle? or are they completely different?
October 25, 200916 yr It's an automatic system - it's got a 12v DC compressor and all the associated nightmare of tubing and wireing that goes with it. Yes they will fit the standard knuckle but the system was VERY unreliable and almost all of them have been replaced with standard coil-overs. GD
